The Redragon EFFECT X CCW-3000 is Redragon’s 240mm all-in-one liquid CPU cooler with a lit dragon-logo pump cap and two 120mm ARGB fans. Redragon rates the seven-blade fans at 800 to 1600 RPM (±200) and 27.8 dB(A), and the pump at 26.9 dB(A). In the box you get Intel and AMD brackets, thermal grease, a power adapter, a light adapter and an ARGB controller, so the lighting still works on motherboards that have no ARGB header.

Table of Contents
Fans: seven blades, 800–1600 RPM
Each of the two 120mm fans on the Redragon EFFECT X CCW-3000 has seven blades and runs between 800 and 1600 RPM, with a tolerance of ±200 RPM. They are rated for DC 12V, operate from 7V to 12.6V, start at no more than 7V, and draw up to 0.25A, for 3.0W per fan. Redragon quotes 27.8 dB(A) of fan noise and a fan life of 40,000 hours at 25°C. The relatively low top speed keeps noise down during gaming; Redragon does not publish airflow or static pressure figures, so we do not list them.

The pump and its dragon-logo cap
The pump is rated for DC 12V, operates from 7V to 12.6V, draws up to 0.30A and uses 3.6W. Redragon quotes 26.9 dB(A) of pump noise, slightly quieter than the fans. On top sits a round black cap with the Redragon dragon lit in ARGB colours, and Redragon’s images show black sleeved tubes running to the radiator. Redragon does not publish the pump speed, the cold plate material, the radiator dimensions or a TDP rating for the Redragon EFFECT X CCW-3000.

Lighting with or without an ARGB header
Redragon’s manual shows two ways to connect the lighting. If your motherboard has a 5V 3-pin ARGB header, plug the light cable into it and the pump and fans sync with the board’s lighting software. If it does not, the included ARGB controller (lamp control board) drives the lighting on its own. For the 240mm version the box contains one power adapter, one light adapter and one controller, plus a fan power extension cord, with power taken from the CPU fan and system fan headers.

Mounting and socket support
The Redragon EFFECT X CCW-3000 comes with two Intel/2011 brackets, two AMD brackets, a backplate, four bracket screws, eight fan screws and eight case screws for the 240mm radiator, and a syringe of thermal grease. Redragon’s installation drawings show Intel hole spacings for LGA1366, LGA115X and LGA775, the Intel 2011 bracket, and AMD AM3 and AM4. The manual does not list LGA1700 or AM5, so check with us before ordering for a current Intel 12th–14th Gen or Ryzen 7000/9000 build.

Who the Redragon EFFECT X CCW-3000 suits
The Redragon EFFECT X CCW-3000 suits a gamer upgrading from a stock air cooler on an older or mid-range Intel or AMD platform, who wants a liquid cooler with lighting and quiet fans without complicated software. The included ARGB controller makes it a good fit for budget motherboards that lack an ARGB header. Builders on the newest sockets, or anyone who needs published thermal ratings, should look at a model whose maker lists those details.

Who This Is Not For
The Redragon EFFECT X CCW-3000 is not for builds on Intel LGA1700/LGA1851 or AMD AM5 unless compatibility is confirmed first, because Redragon’s manual does not list those sockets. Redragon also does not publish a TDP rating, pump speed, airflow or radiator dimensions. The case needs a 240mm radiator mount, and there is no LCD screen or dedicated software.
