The front camera captures 2560×1440 video, which Green Lion calls 2K. Compared with a 1080P front lens, the extra pixels help when you need to read a number plate or a road sign from a clip after an incident, although distance, speed, glare and night conditions still decide whether a plate is readable.
The rear camera records at 1920×1080 and connects by a 5.5 m cable, long enough to run along the headliner of most cars and SUVs to the rear window. Because it rotates 360°, you can point it through the back glass, or turn it toward the cabin if you want a view of passengers. Video is saved as TS files and photos as JPEG.
Night Footage and the 145° Lens
Most disputed incidents happen in poor light, at junctions, in car parks or on unlit stretches. Green Lion uses what it calls Super Night Vision WDR/HDR to balance bright headlights against dark surroundings so that detail is not lost in either. Green Lion does not name the image sensor or publish a low-light rating, so we cannot give a figure for how it compares with other dash cams at night.
The front lens covers 145°, wide enough to take in neighbouring lanes and the edges of a junction. Wider lenses bend straight lines slightly toward the edges of the frame; that is normal for dash cams and does not affect what the footage shows.

Loop Recording and G-Sensor Lock
Loop recording overwrites the oldest clips once the card is full, so the camera keeps recording without you clearing it. When the built-in G-sensor detects an impact, it locks the current clip so that it is not overwritten later.
