Fujifilm Instax Mini 12 Camera Giftbox Mint Green – Instant Camera Gift Set, Auto Exposure, Close-Up Mode

The Instax Mini 12 Camera Giftbox Mint Green is the INSTAX mini 12 in a fresh, pale green, packed in Fujifilm’s gift box with film, a case and an album listed on its panel. It is the camera for someone who wants a paper record of ordinary days: a desk, a coffee, a friend after class, stuck into a journal the same evening.

Mint Green in Person

Mint Green is a soft, cool green, closer to pistachio than to bright lime. Among the brighter pastels in the range it is the most neutral: it sits comfortably next to denim, white trainers and a wooden desk, and it does not read as a toy, which is why it suits university students and adults as much as teenagers.

The camera arrives in the same pink gift box as the other four colours; the green camera on the front panel is how you tell this one apart.

The Instax Mini 12 Camera Giftbox Mint Green as an Everyday Camera

Carrying a camera every day only works if it is quick. The mini 12 switches on with one twist of the lens and is ready to shoot, exposure is automatic, and a print ejects in about five seconds. There is no menu to wake up and nothing to charge overnight: by Fujifilm’s rating, two AA batteries last about ten packs of film.

Put the Instax Mini 12 Camera Giftbox Mint Green in its protective case inside a backpack and it is ready between lectures or on the way home.

Journals, Scrapbooks and Photo Walls

INSTAX mini prints are made for sticking down. Each image is 62 × 46 mm on a credit-card-sized sheet, so two fit side by side on a journal page with room for a date and a line of writing. The album listed in the Instax Mini 12 Camera Giftbox Mint Green covers the rest: prints you want to keep loose and pristine rather than glued.

Let each print finish developing, which takes about 90 seconds, before you stick it or stack it. For a digital copy of the journal, Fujifilm’s instax UP! app scans prints and files them on your phone.

Close-Up Mode on the Instax Mini 12 Camera Giftbox Mint Green

Journals are full of small subjects: a ticket, a plate of food, a handwritten note. Twist the lens to Close-Up Mode and the mini 12 focuses from 30 to 50 cm, while the viewfinder’s parallax correction lines up what you see with what the lens records. That is what keeps a close shot of a coffee cup centred on the print instead of half out of frame.

What the Instax Mini 12 Camera Giftbox Mint Green Holds

The contents panel printed on the box lists the INSTAX mini 12 camera, a protective case, INSTAX mini film and an INSTAX album. Fujifilm does not publish this box’s contents online and does not state the number of film sheets, so we do not quote one. According to Fujifilm’s user’s guide, the camera itself comes with a strap and batteries for trial use.

If you only want the camera without the gift extras, the standalone INSTAX mini 12 in Mint Green has its own page; check its stock before ordering.

Who This Is Not For

Anyone expecting phone-camera results. Prints are small and soft by digital standards, there is no zoom, and the flash always fires.

Anyone who wants to delete a bad shot. Every press of the button uses a sheet of film, so journaling every day means buying film regularly.

Anyone who wants manual settings will find none; the mini 12 decides exposure for you.

The Rest, in Brief

Shutter speeds run from 1/2 to 1/250 sec, automatic exposure spans LV 5.0 to 14.5 at ISO 800, and the flash covers 0.3 to 2.2 m with a recycle time of up to 7 seconds on fresh batteries. The real-image viewfinder magnifies 0.37×, and the body weighs 306 g without batteries, strap and film.

FAQ

Is the Instax Mini 12 Camera Giftbox Mint Green good for journaling?

Yes. Prints carry a 62 × 46 mm image on a credit-card-sized sheet, so two fit on a typical journal page.

How long before I can stick a print into my journal?

90 seconds, roughly. Fujifilm says prints eject in about 5 seconds and finish developing in about 90 seconds.

Can it photograph small objects up close?

Yes. Close-Up Mode focuses from 0.3 to 0.5 m, and the viewfinder corrects for parallax in that mode.

Is the camera in the Instax Mini 12 Camera Giftbox Mint Green the same as the standalone Mint Green mini 12?

Yes. It is the same INSTAX mini 12 camera; the difference is the gift box and the extras packed with it.

Do I need an app to use it?

No. The camera works on its own; the instax UP! app is optional and only scans prints.
