Picture a garden table after sunset: the Kooduu Lite-up Play Earth sits in the middle, throwing a soft warm glow while music plays from the same lantern. This is Kooduu’s full-size Lite-up PLAY with SOUND BY JBL in the Earth finish, a muted, earthy tone that sits between the pale Sand and the deep Petroleum. Inside are a 10W full-range speaker, Bluetooth 5.3 and a 2,600mAh battery, and on top is a wooden carry handle, so the lamp moves from the living room to the terrace in one hand.

The Earth finish in real rooms
Earth is the middle ground of the range: darker and more grounded than Sand, warmer and softer than Petroleum or Ocean Blue. On the Kooduu Lite-up Play Earth the colour covers the soft-touch rubber parts, while the main white PE body is what lights up, so at night you see a warm glowing lantern framed by an earthy tone and a light wooden handle. In the daytime it reads as a natural object, close to the colours of soil, olive wood, clay pots and dried plants. The Kooduu Lite-up Play Earth works next to walnut and teak furniture, leather, terracotta and green plants, which is why it feels at home in a majlis corner, a home office with wooden shelves or a garden full of planters.
Who should choose Earth
The Kooduu Lite-up Play Earth is the pick for people who spend evenings outdoors and want a lamp that does not look dirty after a week on the terrace. A mid-tone hides light dust and sand better than Sand does, and it shows grease and fingerprints less than the dark Petroleum. It suits families with gardens and roof terraces, people who furnish with natural wood and leather, and anyone who finds white or beige too bright for their space. For care, a dry microfibre cloth after outdoor use is enough; avoid solvents on the rubber and keep sunscreen off the handle area.
Sound: 10W from a single JBL-tuned driver
Kooduu lists one 10W full-range speaker under the SOUND BY JBL label. One driver covers the full frequency range, so the Kooduu Lite-up Play Earth is built for background music, a podcast in the kitchen or a quiet playlist at a family dinner rather than a loud gathering. Kooduu does not publish frequency response or maximum loudness. Bluetooth 5.3 connects your phone, and True Wireless Stereo lets you pair it with one more Lite-up PLAY or a Lite-up PLAY Mini; two lanterns at either end of a long table spread sound more evenly. Kooduu notes it does not pair with Synergy, Sensa PLAY, Sensa PLAY Mini or Serena PLAY.
Light: 2.0W LED at 2700K
The LED is rated at 2.0W with a 2700K colour temperature, the warm white of a classic bulb. It is dimmable, so you can set a low glow for a conversation outside or more light for dinner. Kooduu gives no lumen figure, which tells you this is ambient light, not a work light or a camping floodlight. Speaker and light are independent: use the Kooduu Lite-up Play Earth as a bedside lamp with no music, or as a speaker during the day with the light off.
Battery and practical details
The 2,600mAh battery is rated for up to 11 hours, and Kooduu is clear that the figure changes with use: light alone runs longer than loud music with the light at maximum, and moderate volume with moderate light gives about 8.5 hours. Charging takes about 3.5 hours over USB-C with the supplied cable. The Kooduu Lite-up Play Earth is 40 cm high and 29 cm wide and weighs 2.0 kg, with wooden feet on rubber pads to protect tables. There is no published IP rating, so treat it as an indoor and covered-terrace product.
Who This Is Not For
Skip the Kooduu Lite-up Play Earth if you want a loud party speaker or strong bass: it has a single 10W full-range driver. There is no published water-resistance rating, so it is not for rain, pool edges or the beach. At 2.0 kg it is heavy for travel, and the realistic runtime at moderate volume and light is about 8.5 hours, not the 11-hour maximum. Only a charging cable is listed in the box, no wall adapter. And if your room is all white and cream, Sand will blend in better than Earth.
