The Xiaomi Induction Cooker Lite is a simple single-zone induction cooktop: one 2100W cooking zone, nine heat levels and a single LED-lit knob that does everything. There is no app, no touch panel and no smart programme list, which keeps it quick to learn for anyone in the family. Xiaomi lists it as model DCL002CM-1, rated at 220–240V and 50–60Hz, measuring 280 × 265 × 75mm and weighing 2.1kg. It suits a studio kitchen, an extra burner for gatherings, hot pot at the dining table, or a backup when the main hob is busy.

One knob, nine heat levels
Every function of the Xiaomi Induction Cooker Lite sits on one knob with LED lights around it. Xiaomi describes the controls: press for 0.5 seconds to switch on, turn to adjust the power, press quickly to pause, and press and hold for 3 seconds to switch off. The nine levels come with Xiaomi’s own guide: levels 1–2 for warming milk and porridge, 3–4 for slow cooking and steaming, 5–6 for frying and stir-frying, and 7–9 for hot pot and boiling. The lights make the chosen level easy to read from the side of the table, which matters when the cooker is used for shared hot pot.

2100W and an even magnetic field
Rated power is 2100W, which brings water and broth to the boil quickly for a portable unit. Xiaomi says the enhanced double-layer coil creates even magnetic field coverage, so heat spreads across the base of the pan rather than concentrating in a small ring in the centre. That helps with wide frying pans and shallow hot-pot dishes, where an uneven field leaves the edges undercooked. Because induction heats the cookware itself, the Xiaomi Induction Cooker Lite only works with pans that have a magnetic base, such as cast iron or magnetic stainless steel; aluminium, glass and ceramic pots will not heat.

Cookware detection and overheat protection
Xiaomi builds two safety behaviours into the Xiaomi Induction Cooker Lite. When no cookware is detected on top, heating stops automatically, with beeping and flashing LED lights; if the pan is put back within one minute, heating resumes on its own. That is handy when you lift a wok to toss food. If the cooker itself overheats, a protection system stops heating. Xiaomi’s safety notes also warn against heating sealed containers such as cans, against placing knives, spoons, lids, foil, paper or cloth on the cooking plate, and against touching the plate straight after use, since it stays hot from the pan.

Cooling, grip and cleaning
Heat management is where a cheap cooktop usually cuts corners. On the Xiaomi Induction Cooker Lite, the hot and cool air vents are separated so hot air is not drawn back inside, and a 7-blade axial flow fan moves heat out, which Xiaomi says extends product life. Keep the vents clear of walls and cloths when cooking. A heat-resistant non-slip silicone gasket holds the cookware in place and lifts off for cleaning, and enlarged anti-slip pads underneath keep the unit steady on a counter or dining table. The box contains the cooker and a power cord.

Who the Xiaomi Induction Cooker Lite suits
It suits small apartments and studios without a full hob, students and workers in shared housing, and families who want an extra zone during Ramadan gatherings or large meals. It is also a practical choice for hot pot or shabu-shabu at the table, since the knob is simple and the levels are clearly marked. The 2.1kg weight makes it easy to store in a cupboard and bring out when needed. Because it is rated for 220–240V, it matches the UAE mains supply; make sure the socket and any extension can handle a 2100W load.

Who This Is Not For
The Xiaomi Induction Cooker Lite is not for cooks who want two or more zones at once, since it has a single cooking zone. It has no app, no touch controls and Xiaomi lists no timer, so you cannot set it to switch off after a set cooking time. It will not heat aluminium, glass or ceramic cookware. Xiaomi does not publish the cooking-plate material, the cable length or the plug type on its pages, and the 2100W draw is too much for a light-duty extension lead.
