The HUAWEI WATCH D2 Blue is the latest colour Huawei added to its blood pressure smartwatch, after the original black and gold. Huawei lists a blue case with a blue composite leather strap, and inside that strap is the airbag cuff that inflates to measure blood pressure on the wrist. Everything else matches the rest of the range: single readings and a 24-hour ambulatory plan, ECG analysis, sleep and SpO2 tracking, Bluetooth calls and a 1.82-inch AMOLED display. It is for buyers who want the health features of the WATCH D2 in a colour that stands out more than black but is less formal than gold.

A deep blue that is easy to wear
Blue is the middle ground of the family. The HUAWEI WATCH D2 Blue goes with navy suits, denim, white kanduras and casual weekend clothes, and the tone-on-tone case and strap make the HUAWEI WATCH D2 Blue look coordinated rather than loud. It hides everyday marks better than the white leather of the gold model while still looking like a fashion choice. Huawei lists this colour on its European product pages; the UAE Huawei page currently shows black and gold, so this is an imported colour, sold here with a 1-year warranty from Totot.
Caring for the blue composite leather
Composite leather is lighter and easier to clean than real leather, but it still dislikes long soaks, heavy sweat and harsh chemicals. Wipe the HUAWEI WATCH D2 Blue strap with a soft damp cloth, let it dry in the air rather than in direct sun, and avoid putting on perfume or hand cream right before wearing it. Darker blue straps can pick up a little colour from new jeans at first; that rubs off with a cloth. For gym sessions or nightly ABPM a sports strap is the better partner, but for office days the blue leather is comfortable.
Blood pressure on the wrist, day or night
Tap to measure and the cuff inflates while the HUAWEI WATCH D2 Blue takes a reading by the oscillometric method, the same principle as an arm monitor. Hold the posture shown on the screen with your wrist at heart level for a consistent result. The 24-hour ABPM plan repeats measurements through the day and while you sleep and gives day, night and 24-hour averages to share with your doctor. Huawei lists the WATCH D2 among the devices approved by STRIDE BP, and also warns never to diagnose yourself or change medication based on the readings.
Heart and sleep checks
The side electrode records a beat-by-beat ECG in 30 seconds, and pulse-wave analysis flags possible atrial fibrillation and premature beats. Overnight the HUAWEI WATCH D2 Blue logs heart rate, SpO2, breathing rate and abnormal breathing. Huawei says these features are not intended for medical use and that some, including ECG, are available only in certain markets, so what appears on your watch depends on region and software version. Stress tracking, skin temperature estimates and more than 80 exercise modes are included too.

Who This Is Not For
The HUAWEI WATCH D2 Blue is not for swimmers: Huawei says the IP68-rated watch is not designed for immersion. The composite leather strap is not ideal for hard training or sleeping with nightly ABPM. Huawei does not list GPS. Readings are for reference, not diagnosis, and features such as ECG depend on market availability. The HUAWEI WATCH D2 Blue is not currently listed on the Huawei UAE page.
