Anker SOLIX C300X AC Sockets: What Plugs In, and What Anker Does Not Say
Anker’s UK listing for this model shows two UK-type three-pin AC sockets, and those are the sockets on our stock, as the product photos show. UAE appliances with a three-pin plug go straight in. Anker’s UK page for the Anker SOLIX C300X does not print the AC output voltage or frequency as a figure; the UK-socket version is the one Anker sells for British mains, which uses the same 230 V system as the UAE.
Each socket shares the same limit: the AC outlets together deliver a maximum of 300W rated power, and all AC outlets support SurgePad, which Anker rates at 600W. SurgePad is intended for devices that briefly need more than 300W; it does not turn the station into a 600W continuous supply.
288Wh LiFePO4: How Long It Runs
Capacity is 288Wh from LFP (lithium iron phosphate) cells, which Anker rates for 3,000 or more cycles to 80% capacity. As a rough guide, divide 288 by the power your device draws: a 30W Wi-Fi router and modem setup could run for several hours, while a 250W load would empty it in about an hour, before conversion losses, which reduce these numbers further.
For a UAE power cut, the Anker SOLIX C300X is best matched to routers, laptops, phones, LED lights, fans and CPAP-type devices rather than large appliances.
Seven Ports: USB-C, USB-A and Car Socket
Beyond the two AC sockets, Anker lists two 140W USB-C ports and one 15W USB-C port, a 12W USB-A port and a 120W car socket, seven outputs in all. Of the USB-C ports, USB-C2 is two-way: it charges your laptop or recharges the station itself. USB-C1 and USB-C3 are output only, and when USB-C1 and USB-A are used together they share 20W.
The 140W USB-C ports are fast enough for most USB-C laptops, so for a laptop you can skip the AC socket and its conversion losses altogether.
Recharging: Wall, Solar, USB-C or Car
From a wall socket the Anker SOLIX C300X recharges to 80% in about 50 minutes, according to Anker. Solar input goes up to 100W through an XT60 connector, and Anker specifies panels between 11 and 28 V; it states the station is not compatible with its PS30 panel or other 5 V, 3 A USB-C solar panels. You can also recharge through the two-way 140W USB-C port or from a car.
Only the AC charging cable is in the box. Anker notes that the car charging and solar charging cables are purchased separately, so plan for them if you intend to recharge on the road or in the desert.
UPS Backup, Light Bar and App
Anker states a switchover time of 10 ms when the grid drops, so a router or a small desktop plugged in through the station keeps running during a short power cut. A built-in light bar on the front serves as a lamp at a campsite or during an outage.
The Anker app connects over Bluetooth or Wi-Fi for monitoring and settings. Anker rates operating noise at about 25 dB from 1 metre, quiet enough for a bedroom. The unit measures 16.4 x 16.1 x 24 cm and weighs about 4 kg, with a carry handle on top.
Heat, Delivery and Warranty
Anker’s datasheet for this model lists recharging between 0 and 40 degrees C. In a UAE summer that rules out charging it in a parked car or on an open balcony at midday; recharge it indoors.
The Anker SOLIX C300X is delivered anywhere in the UAE within 3 business days, and delivery is free on orders from AED 300. It is covered by a 1-year warranty from Totot, defective or non-matching items can be returned within 14 days, and shipping damage should be reported within 48 hours.
Who This Is Not For
The Anker SOLIX C300X is not for kettles, hair dryers, irons, microwaves or air conditioners: these draw far more than 300W. It is also not expandable, so 288Wh is all the capacity you get; for a full night of a fridge or several devices at once, a larger station is the right choice.
At about 4 kg it is compact for a power station but heavy for a backpack, and car and solar cables are extra purchases.
