Description

The Anker MagGo Power Bank Black is the 10K Slim model (A1664): a 10,000mAh magnetic battery that snaps onto the back of a MagSafe iPhone and charges it wirelessly at up to 15W through Qi2 certification. It is 14.7 mm thick and weighs 215.9 g, and its single USB-C port works both ways at up to 30W, so it can also charge a phone, earbuds or a small tablet by cable and refill itself quickly.

Anker MagGo Power Bank Black 10K Slim with Qi2 magnetic charging ring

Qi2 wireless charging on the Anker MagGo Power Bank Black

Qi2 is the magnetic wireless charging standard built on Apple’s MagSafe. Because the Anker MagGo Power Bank Black is Qi2 certified, it lines up with the charging coil of iPhone 12 and later on its own and can deliver up to 15W, where older magnetic packs were usually limited to 7.5W. Anker lists three wireless levels, 5W, 7.5W and 15W, and the phone negotiates the speed it accepts.

Anker says the pack uses a high-conductive aluminium Qi2 module, and its ActiveShield safety system monitors temperature continuously to keep operation below 40°C (104°F). Heat is the main reason wireless packs slow down, so the cooler they run, the steadier the 15W rate stays.

One button handles everything. A single press shows the battery level on the LED indicators and starts wireless charging; holding it for two seconds turns the lights and the wireless output off.

30W USB-C, and how the power is shared

The USB-C port on the Anker MagGo Power Bank Black is bidirectional. As an output it supports 5V⎓3A, 9V⎓3A, 12V⎓2.5A, 15V⎓2A and 20V⎓1.5A, so up to 30W for a USB-C iPhone, an Android phone, AirPods or an iPad. As an input it accepts up to 30W (5V⎓3A, 9V⎓3A, 15V⎓2A), so a 30W USB-C PD wall charger refills it faster than a basic 20W adapter.

Running both outputs together changes the numbers. Anker lists the shared total as 12W on USB-C (5V⎓2.4A) plus 5W wireless, so charging two devices at once is a slow top-up rather than fast charging. Anker does not publish a recharge time for the power bank itself on its product page.

Real capacity: how much of the 10,000mAh reaches your phone

10,000mAh is the rating of the cells. Anker states that a fully charged Anker MagGo Power Bank Black provides about 5,500 to 6,500mAh of usable power, because 35 to 45% is lost in the battery cells and the conversion circuitry. Wireless charging also loses more energy than a cable, so when you want the most out of each charge, plug in by USB-C.

Anker’s FAQ adds a point many iPhone owners run into: the phone may stop at 80% by itself. That is iOS protecting its battery from heat during charging, not a fault in the power bank.

Size, weight and the black finish

At 104 × 70.6 × 14.7 mm and 215.9 g, the Anker MagGo Power Bank Black covers roughly the back of a standard-size iPhone and is thin enough to stay attached while you type or film. Black hides scuffs and pocket dust better than a light colour, which suits a battery that lives in a bag or jacket pocket all day.

Anker makes the same 10K Slim model in Black Stone, Aurora White, Teal Oasis and Pink Aura. At Totot you can also order the white version; the specifications are identical and only the colour changes.

Compatibility: iPhone, AirPods and Android

Anker lists the Anker MagGo Power Bank Black as compatible with the iPhone 17, 16, 15, 14, 13 and 12 series, and with AirPods (1st to 4th generation) and AirPods Pro in a wireless charging case. For the magnet to hold firmly, use the phone without a case or in a MagSafe-compatible case.

Android phones can charge from the USB-C port at up to 30W. The magnetic attachment, however, is designed for MagSafe-compatible devices, and Anker notes that most Android phones need a magnetic Qi2 case to align reliably.

Who This Is Not For

If you need to charge a laptop, the Anker MagGo Power Bank Black is the wrong tool: 30W suits phones, earbuds and small tablets, not most notebooks. It also has a single port, so you cannot charge two devices by cable at the same time.

It is not the right pick if you need several days of charging without a wall socket, since Anker rates the usable output at about 5,500 to 6,500mAh. And Android owners without a magnetic case lose the main reason to buy it, the snap-on wireless charging.
