Xiaomi rates the battery at 7500 mAh typical and 7330 mAh minimum. Charging reaches 100 W wired, 50 W wireless and 22.5 W reverse charging, wired or wireless. Xiaomi notes that these speeds come from its own lab tests and vary with software and conditions.
The USB-C port supports USB 3.2 Gen 1, but Xiaomi says the cable in the box does not support USB 3 transfer, so a separate USB 3 cable is needed for fast file copying. The phone also supports the 100 W PPS universal fast-charging protocol.
Who the Xiaomi 17 Pro Max is not for
It is not for anyone who needs Google Play working out of the box and does not want to check the software first, because this is the China version. It is also not for eSIM users, since Xiaomi lists two physical SIM slots and no eSIM.
