WHOOP One is the first of WHOOP’s three membership tiers and the simplest way into WHOOP. This bundle covers 12 months and comes with the WHOOP 5.0 sensor on a CoreKnit band in Jet Black. WHOOP One is built around fitness performance: it tracks your body 24/7 and turns the data into three daily numbers, Sleep, Strain and Recovery, along with fitness insights such as VO2 Max estimates and heart-rate zones. There is no screen and no notifications. WHOOP rates the battery at 14+ days on a single charge, and the sensors capture data every second.

Table of Contents
What the entry tier includes
WHOOP One gives you WHOOP’s core coaching: a morning Recovery score that tells you how ready your body is, a Strain score that measures the day’s cardiovascular and musculoskeletal load, and detailed sleep analysis with guidance on how much sleep you need. Fitness insights cover automatic activity detection, steps, VO2 Max estimates and heart-rate zones. WHOOP One also includes Hormonal Insights, which shows women how the menstrual cycle affects sleep, strain and recovery. For many people who simply want to train smarter and sleep better, this is all they need.

What WHOOP One leaves out
The two higher tiers add features this tier does not have. Peak adds Stress Monitor, Health Monitor (heart rate, skin temperature and blood oxygen in one view) and Healthspan, which estimates your WHOOP Age and Pace of Aging. Life adds the WHOOP MG sensor with an on-demand ECG and Blood Pressure Insights. This tier also comes with the Basic Charger rather than the wireless PowerPack, so you take the sensor off to charge it. If you are unsure, start here: the coaching that most users open the app for every morning is fully included.

WHOOP 5.0 hardware
WHOOP One uses WHOOP 5.0, the sensor WHOOP launched in May 2025 alongside WHOOP MG. WHOOP says it packs more technology into a smaller body than before, that its sensors are ten times more power efficient, and that it captures data points every second. The battery lasts 14+ days on a single charge, according to WHOOP, so you can wear it through two weeks of sleep and training before charging. WHOOP 5.0 can be worn on several places on the body, and the included CoreKnit band holds it on the wrist.

The CoreKnit Jet Black band
The bundle ships with WHOOP’s CoreKnit band in Jet Black, the plain all-black look that goes with gym kit, office clothes and a watch on the other wrist. The knit fabric is soft and light, which helps when you wear the sensor while sleeping, and the black hides sweat marks and everyday dirt well. The clasp lets you slide the sensor off when you need to charge it. Because there is no screen, the band reads as a simple fabric strap rather than a gadget, which many people prefer at work or at formal events.

Who WHOOP One suits
WHOOP One suits gym-goers, runners, footballers and anyone who wants honest feedback on sleep and recovery without the price of the higher tiers. It is also a good first tracker for people who have never used a fitness tracker and want to see whether daily recovery scores change their habits. Because there are no notifications, it works well for people who already wear a smartwatch or a classic watch and want WHOOP on the other wrist. If heart screening or stress tracking matter to you, look at WHOOP Peak or WHOOP Life instead.

Who This Is Not For
WHOOP One is not a smartwatch: there is no screen, clock, notifications or built-in GPS. It only works with an active membership, so after the 12 months included here you renew with WHOOP. It does not include Stress Monitor, Healthspan, Health Monitor, the ECG or Blood Pressure Insights, and it comes with the Basic Charger, not the PowerPack, so you take it off to charge.
