The Turtle Beach Stealth Pivot is a wireless smart controller built first for Windows PCs, and it also works as a wired controller on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One. Its signature idea is a pair of rotating thumbstick and button modules, so one controller can switch between a standard layout for shooters and racing and a revolved layout for fighting and retro games. Turtle Beach adds contactless Hall Effect thumbsticks, adjustable trigger stops, a small on-controller display and up to 20 hours of wireless battery life.

What the Turtle Beach Stealth Pivot Is
Turtle Beach announced the Stealth Pivot in October 2024 as a controller for PC and Xbox, and it launched on 26 November 2024. The box calls it a wireless smart controller for PC and carries the Designed for Xbox badge. It connects three ways: wirelessly to Windows 10 and 11 PCs through the included 2.4GHz USB transmitter, over Bluetooth to Android 8.0 or later devices and supported smart TVs, and by USB-C cable to Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Windows PCs and smart TVs.
One point matters for anyone searching for a phone controller: the Turtle Beach Stealth Pivot is not a mobile clip-on gamepad. Turtle Beach lists no phone mount in the box, so if you want to use it with an Android phone you need your own stand or holder.
Rotating Thumbstick and Button Modules
The Turtle Beach Stealth Pivot takes its name from the modules. Each side of the controller can rotate, letting you switch between core button layouts suited to FPS, action and racing games, and revolved layouts for fighting and retro games, where the D-pad and face buttons sit where your thumbs naturally rest. You change the physical layout of the pad instead of adapting your hands to one set shape.
In the revolved layout two extra quick-action buttons come into play. Together with the two rear buttons, the Turtle Beach Stealth Pivot has four mappable quick-action buttons, and it can store up to five profiles on board so your settings follow the controller from one machine to another.
Hall Effect Sticks, Trigger Stops and Rumble
Turtle Beach fits contactless Hall Effect AntiDrift thumbsticks, which read position with magnets instead of wearing contacts, and offers linear or precision input modes for them. The D-pad can act as a classic digital pad or send analog thumbstick input.
The triggers have adjustable stops that you can change on the fly: short throws for quicker shots in FPS games, full travel for gradual throttle in racing. Dual rumble motors sit in the handles and triggers, and their strength is fully adjustable, according to Turtle Beach.
Command Display, Audio and the Control Center 2 App
Between the sticks sits the Connected Command Display, a high-contrast screen that gives on-board customisation options and can show social notifications. A centre-mounted quick-slide switch is customisable, and the controller has RGB lighting.
There is a 3.5mm audio jack for stereo output and microphone input, with Turtle Beach’s audio tuning, EQ presets and Superhuman Hearing. Deeper settings live in the Control Center 2 app, available for Windows PC, Xbox consoles, iOS and Android.
Battery and What Is in the Box
Turtle Beach rates the Turtle Beach Stealth Pivot at up to 20 hours of wireless battery life, and it supports play and charge, so you can keep gaming on the cable when the battery runs low. In the box you get the controller, the wireless USB transmitter, an 8 ft (2.5 m) USB-A to USB-C cable and a quick start guide.
Who This Is Not For
Xbox players who want wireless play: on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One the Stealth Pivot works as a wired controller.
PlayStation and Nintendo Switch owners: Turtle Beach does not list PS5, PS4 or Switch support.
iPhone and iPad gamers: Bluetooth support is listed for Android 8.0 or later and supported smart TVs, not iOS. The iOS app is for settings, not for playing on the device.
Anyone who wants a phone clip-on controller: the Turtle Beach Stealth Pivot has no phone mount, and Turtle Beach does not list one in the box.
