Jason Connell, creative director at Sucker Punch, described the artwork as pulled directly from the game’s themes of exploration. The console carries the hand-drawn icons Atsu marks on her map, a kintsugi-style effect taken from her Ghost mask, and brushstrokes echoing her Sumi-e paintings, with Mount Yōtei itself placed at the centre to tie the composition together.

Kintsugi is the Japanese practice of repairing broken pottery with gold lacquer rather than hiding the damage. Using it as the visual language for a revenge story about a woman rebuilding herself is a deliberate choice, not decoration.

Exactly What Is in the Box

The bundle contains a limited edition PlayStation 5 console with a disc drive and 1TB of storage, a matching DualSense wireless controller with a silhouette of Atsu on the touchpad, and a digital copy of Ghost of Yōtei Standard Edition. Why the PS5 Ghost of Yotei Limited Edition Black Is Hard to Find

Sony released two variants on 2 October 2025, the same day the game launched. The Gold edition went to PlayStation Direct and participating retailers worldwide.
