The Playseat PUMA Active Gaming Seat Black is a floor-level gaming seat from the Playseat and PUMA collaboration, not an office-style gaming chair. As the product photos show, there is no gas-lift base, no wheels and no armrests: it sits directly on the floor in front of a TV or low screen. Playseat’s data sheet (item PPG.00228) describes its ActiFit design as giving full freedom of movement while gaming, the seat adapting to your position as you play, MotionForce rubber feet that hold your sitting position, and four knitted pockets for a controller, phone or TV remote. In black it is the low-key version that fits almost any room.

Why choose it in black
Black is the safe choice for a living room or bedroom that already has a black TV, console and media unit: the Playseat PUMA Active Gaming Seat Black blends in instead of becoming the brightest object in the room. It also hides everyday marks, dust and the odd crumb from a gaming night better than a bright colour, which matters on a seat that lives on the floor. If the seat will be shared by siblings or used in a family room, black keeps the room calm. The PUMA branding stays visible on the seat, so it still reads as a sports-brand piece rather than a plain cushion.
ActiFit: a seat that moves with you
Playseat describes the ActiFit design as providing complete freedom of movement when gaming, and says the seat adapts to all your positions as you get immersed in the game. In practice the Playseat PUMA Active Gaming Seat Black is a seat built for leaning forward in a tense moment and sitting back during a cutscene, rather than locking you upright. The covering is described by Playseat only as high-tech, breathable materials; it does not publish a fabric composition, so we do not name one. Because the Playseat PUMA Active Gaming Seat Black has no back-height or tilt adjustment, the way it supports you comes from the shape and the flexing of the seat itself.
MotionForce rubber feet and four pockets
Underneath the Playseat PUMA Active Gaming Seat Black, Playseat fits what it calls MotionForce rubber feet, which it says keep you in the best sitting position. The rubber contact helps on tiles or wooden floors common in UAE homes, where a cushion can slide. Around the seat there are four knitted, easy-access pockets that Playseat suggests for a controller, a phone and the TV remote, so the things you reach for during a session stay beside you instead of on the floor. Headsets with a thick band may be too large for a knitted pocket; the photos show the pocket placement.
Who it fits
Playseat lists the user limits clearly: a minimum user weight of 20 kg and a maximum of 122 kg, and a user length from 120 cm to 220 cm. That range covers older children, teenagers and most adults, so the Playseat PUMA Active Gaming Seat Black can be shared across a family. The data sheet gives a gross weight of 7 kg and a packaging size of 77 x 13 x 38 cm, which means it arrives in a slim box and one person can carry it between rooms. Playseat does not publish the assembled dimensions, so we do not list them; check the photos to judge the footprint.
Where it works best
The Playseat PUMA Active Gaming Seat Black suits console gaming on a TV at floor or low-cabinet height, handheld gaming such as Nintendo Switch sessions, watching films, and streaming setups where a low, relaxed position looks better on camera than a desk chair. It is less suited to a PC at a standard-height desk, because you would sit far below the keyboard. For long sessions, sit with your back against the seat and keep the screen at eye level, and take short breaks to stand and stretch as you would with any seat.
Who This Is Not For
The Playseat PUMA Active Gaming Seat Black is not for a standard-height desk or PC setup, since it sits on the floor and has no height adjustment. It is not for anyone who wants wheels, swivel, armrests or a reclining back. It is rated for users up to 122 kg and from 120 cm to 220 cm in length, so it is not for users outside those limits. Playseat does not publish the assembled dimensions, so measure your space generously if room is tight.
