The Meta Ray-Ban Display is Meta’s first pair of Ray-Ban smart glasses with a screen: a 600 x 600 pixel colour display inside the right lens, controlled by the Meta Neural Band, a wristband that reads the electrical signals of your forearm muscles. It has a 12 MP camera, six microphones, open-ear speakers and up to 6 hours of mixed-use battery. This page is for the Shiny Sand frame with Neural Band size 3.

The display inside the Meta Ray-Ban Display lens
The display sits in the right lens only. Meta lists 600 x 600 pixels, 42 pixels per degree and a 20 degree field of view. It is built for glanceable information such as messages, directions, captions and camera previews, not for watching films.
Brightness ranges from 30 to 5,000 nits, according to Meta. The high end matters in the UAE, where a weaker display would be hard to read under the midday sun. Meta lists a refresh rate of up to 90 Hz, with content updating at 30 Hz.
The Meta Neural Band
The Meta Ray-Ban Display is controlled mainly by the Meta Neural Band, a wristband that uses EMG, electromyography, to read the small electrical signals from your forearm muscles. You control the glasses with small finger and thumb movements, and your hand can stay by your side or in a pocket.
Fit matters. The band comes in three sizes, and it needs to fit your wrist properly to read signals accurately. This listing is for Neural Band size 3. If you are unsure of your size, message us before ordering.
You can also control the glasses by voice and by touch on the frame, according to Meta.
Battery life and charging: three batteries, two cables
Meta rates the glasses at up to 6 hours of mixed use. The charging case adds up to 24 more hours. The Neural Band lasts up to 18 hours.
The case charges over USB-C, but the Neural Band uses Meta’s own charging cable, not USB-C. Keep that cable safe, because a replacement is not something you will find in a local shop.
Water resistance: three different ratings
Each part of the Meta Ray-Ban Display has its own rating. The glasses are IPX4, which covers splashes only. The Neural Band is IPX7, which covers immersion. The charging case has no water resistance rating, and Meta says it should not be exposed to liquids.
In practice: sweat and light rain are fine for the glasses, but never put wet glasses into the case, and do not swim with them.
Camera, audio and hardware
Meta lists a 12 MP camera with 3x zoom, recording 3K video at 1440 x 1920 and 30 frames per second. Audio comes from six microphones and open-ear speakers that do not block your ears.
Inside are 32 GB of storage and 2 GB of RAM, with Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.3. A light on the frame turns on while recording so people around you know the camera is active. Please respect privacy in homes, majlis gatherings and private places.
The glasses weigh about 69 g, according to Meta. They come in Standard and Large frame sizes. Prescription lenses are supported from -4.00 to +4.00, and Transitions lenses are included as standard, so they darken outdoors.
Features and availability in the UAE
Many of the Meta Ray-Ban Display features, such as Meta AI, messaging and navigation, depend on your Meta account, your region and the apps you connect. Meta launched the glasses in selected countries, and some features may not be available or may behave differently in the UAE.
Before buying, check which Meta AI features are available in your country and on your phone. If a specific feature matters to you, message us and we will tell you what we know before you order.
Who the Meta Ray-Ban Display is for, and who should not buy it
It suits early adopters who want to try the first mainstream display glasses, people who want live captions, translations or directions in front of their eyes, and content creators who want a hands-free camera with a preview screen.
Who it is not for: anyone who needs every advertised feature to work in the UAE today, since availability varies by region. Swimmers and people in wet environments, given the IPX4 rating. Prescriptions beyond -4.00 or +4.00. Anyone who wants a display in both eyes or for watching video. And anyone unwilling to wear and charge a wristband as well as glasses.
