1. Wired-only, and what that actually buys you
This keyboard connects over USB-C and nothing else. There is no battery, no LIGHTSPEED receiver and no Bluetooth. That is the whole difference between it and the G515 LIGHTSPEED TKL — same switches, same height, same keycaps.
What you gain: nothing to charge, and a lower price. What you give up: you cannot move it to a laptop or tablet without moving the cable, and the cable is fixed rather than detachable on this model.
2. Low-profile GL switches: 1.3mm actuation
A standard mechanical switch registers at roughly 2mm of travel. The GL switches here register at 1.3mm, with 3.2mm of total travel — your finger covers less distance per keystroke. The difference shows up in fast repeated presses more than in single taps.
Switches are factory-lubed and come in tactile or linear depending on the unit. They are not hot-swappable, so the feel you buy is the feel you keep.
3. TKL layout at 22mm
The tenkeyless layout drops the number pad and keeps the arrow cluster and function row, freeing desk width for mouse movement. Logitech lists the height at 22mm — roughly half a conventional mechanical keyboard.
4. PBT keycaps and sound dampening
The keycaps are double-shot PBT, so the legends are moulded rather than printed and will not wear off, and the surface does not go shiny with use. Layered dampening inside the case cuts the hollow ring you get from thin plastic bodies.
One caveat: replacement keycaps must be made for low-profile switches. Standard keycap sets will not fit.
5. Who should skip it

No. This is the wired G515 TKL. The wireless tri-mode version is a separate model, the G515 LIGHTSPEED TKL, and it costs more.
Does it need software to work?
No. Typing and the default lighting work the moment you plug it in. G HUB is only needed for custom lighting, macros and KEYCONTROL remapping.
Can I change the switches?
