The G515 TKL Wired Black is the cabled member of Logitech’s low-profile G515 family. It keeps the 22mm-high tenkeyless body, the GL mechanical switches and the double-shot PBT keycaps of the wireless model, and replaces the battery, receiver and Bluetooth with a single USB connection. Plug it in and it works, with nothing to charge before a match. This unit is the black version with GL Tactile switches and a US International key layout with English legends.

Why choose the wired version
A desktop gaming PC rarely moves, and for that setup a cable is not a compromise. The G515 TKL Wired Black connects over USB only, so there is no battery to run out in the middle of a session and no receiver to lose. What you give up is flexibility: you cannot switch it to a tablet or phone over Bluetooth, and moving it to a laptop means moving the cable as well. If the keyboard stays on one desk next to one PC, that trade costs you very little, and you keep the same switches, keycaps and height as the wireless G515 LIGHTSPEED TKL.
The black finish on a gaming desk
Black is the easiest colour to live with on this board. Dark keycaps hide dust and the light marks that build up between cleanings, and because the LIGHTSYNC RGB shines only through the legends, colours look strong and clean against the black frame. The G515 TKL Wired Black matches almost any monitor, mouse or PC case, and it works on a desk that doubles as a workstation: set the lighting to one calm colour or switch it off, and the keyboard looks like a slim office board.
GL Tactile switches at 22mm
Logitech’s GL switches are low-profile mechanical switches with a 1.3mm actuation point, so a keypress registers earlier than on many full-height boards. The tactile version gives a small bump at the actuation point, which lets you feel a registered press without bottoming out every key. Logitech lubricates the switches at the factory and uses a layered sound-dampening build, so typing sounds controlled rather than hollow. At 22mm high, the G515 TKL Wired Black keeps your wrists lower on the desk, and many people use it without a wrist rest.
Keycaps, lighting and KEYCONTROL
The keycaps are low-profile double-shot PBT. The legends are moulded from a second plastic rather than printed, so they do not wear away, and PBT resists the shine that ABS keycaps pick up on the busiest keys. LIGHTSYNC RGB offers about 16.8 million colours. In Logitech G HUB, KEYCONTROL lets you assign up to 15 functions to each key through modifier layers, useful for MMO and strategy players who want macros on a compact board.
US International layout
This unit uses the US International arrangement with English legends only; there are no Arabic letters printed on the keycaps. If you type Arabic, you switch the input language in Windows or macOS and rely on touch typing. The tenkeyless format removes the number pad, which leaves more room for wide mouse movements in shooters.
Who This Is Not For
The G515 TKL Wired Black is the wrong pick if you want one keyboard for a laptop, tablet and phone: it has no Bluetooth and no wireless receiver, so look at the G515 LIGHTSPEED TKL instead. It has no number pad. Logitech does not list hot-swap support for the GL switches and the 1.3mm actuation point is fixed, so players who want adjustable actuation or rapid trigger should look at a magnetic keyboard. The keycaps carry English legends only.
