The Logitech G305 X Superlight White is the white version of Logitech G’s new G305 X SUPERLIGHT, a LIGHTSPEED wireless gaming mouse from the G3 Series that keeps the familiar G305 shape and adds a HERO 44K sensor, Bluetooth, a rechargeable battery over USB-C and a weight of about 60 g. In white it suits bright desks, white keyboards and light-coloured streaming corners, and the same three connection modes make it easy to move between a gaming PC and a laptop.

Why the Logitech G305 X Superlight White Fits a Light Setup
Most gaming gear is black, so a white desk often ends up with one dark object in the middle. The Logitech G305 X Superlight White solves that: the shell is white from the palm to the side buttons, the G logo on the back is a soft grey, and only the strip around the scroll wheel carries a cyan accent. Next to a white mechanical keyboard, a pale mouse pad or a white headset, it keeps the desk visually calm, which also looks cleaner on camera if you stream or film your setup.
The Logitech G305 X Superlight White has one practical downside: like any white mouse it shows dust and grip marks sooner than black. A quick wipe with a dry or slightly damp microfibre cloth every week keeps it bright. If you share the mouse with others, or play for many hours with warm hands, plan on that small habit.

One Mouse, Three Ways to Connect
Logitech calls the G305 X SUPERLIGHT tri-mode. You can plug in the included LIGHTSPEED USB receiver for gaming, pair it over Bluetooth with a laptop or another Bluetooth device, or connect the USB-A to USB-C cable and use it wired. Logitech lists compatibility as a PC or Mac with a USB-A port for LIGHTSPEED, or any Bluetooth-enabled device.
In daily use that means the Logitech G305 X Superlight White can sit on your gaming desk with the receiver during the evening and travel in a laptop bag the next morning over Bluetooth, without carrying the receiver. The original G305 had only LIGHTSPEED, so this is one of the most useful additions.
HERO 44K Sensor: What Logitech Publishes
The sensor is Logitech’s HERO, rated up to 44K resolution (44,000 DPI). Logitech lists a maximum speed of more than 678 IPS and a maximum acceleration of more than 40 G, both tested on the Logitech G640 mouse pad. The report rate is 1 kHz (1 ms) over LIGHTSPEED and over USB, and Logitech says the mouse can be upgraded to up to 8 kHz with the PRO Wireless Receiver, sold separately. A 32-bit ARM microprocessor runs the mouse.
On the Logitech G305 X Superlight White, six programmable buttons, a scroll wheel and onboard memory for 5 profiles let you store DPI steps and button maps on the mouse itself. In Logitech G HUB you fine-tune DPI, button assignments, macros and LIGHTSYNC RGB lighting; Logitech lists LIGHTSYNC RGB in the specifications of the Logitech G305 X Superlight White and its sister colours.

Battery Life and Fast Charging
Logitech rates the battery at 130 hours of constant motion, noting that battery life may vary with the user and computing conditions. The battery is rechargeable through the USB-C port, and Logitech says 2 minutes of charging gives up to 3.5 hours of play. Logitech does not publish the battery capacity. For a typical evening player, the Logitech G305 X Superlight White needs charging rarely, and when you forget, a short top-up while you get a drink is enough for a session.
How the Logitech G305 X Superlight White Differs From the Original G305
The shape is the same family: Logitech describes the G305 X as the classic G305 shape. The numbers below come from Logitech’s own pages for both mice:
- Weight: about 60 g (61 g on Logitech’s UAE and UK pages, 59 g on its US page) against 99 g for the G305.
- Sensor: HERO up to 44,000 DPI against HERO 200 to 12,000 DPI.
- Speed: more than 678 IPS against 400 IPS.
- Power: built-in rechargeable battery, 130 hours, against one AA battery rated up to 250 hours.
- Connections: LIGHTSPEED, Bluetooth and USB-C cable against LIGHTSPEED only.
- Onboard memory: 5 profiles against 1 profile.
Choosing between them: the old G305 lasts longer on paper because it runs on a replaceable AA cell, but the Logitech G305 X Superlight White drops about 40 g and gains charging, Bluetooth and a much higher sensor ceiling.

G305 X or PRO X SUPERLIGHT 2 SE?
Both weigh around 60 g, so the choice is about features. Logitech lists the PRO X SUPERLIGHT 2 SE with the HERO 2 sensor at 100 to 44,000 DPI, more than 888 IPS and more than 88 G, LIGHTFORCE switches, 5 buttons, LIGHTSPEED only and 88 hours of battery, in a longer 125 mm body. The Logitech G305 X Superlight White has a lower published speed and acceleration, but adds Bluetooth, a sixth button, RGB and 130 hours of battery in a shorter 117.3 mm body. For competitive shooters the SE is the sharper tool; for mixed gaming, work and travel the G305 X is the more flexible one.
Who This Is Not For
Skip the Logitech G305 X Superlight White if you are left-handed and use thumb buttons: the two side buttons are on the left side. If you want 8 kHz polling from day one, remember it needs the PRO Wireless Receiver bought separately. Players with large hands who palm the whole mouse may find the 117.3 mm length short. Logitech does not publish the switch type or battery capacity, so buyers who choose a mouse by switch model will not find that detail. A laptop with only USB-C ports needs an adapter for the USB-A receiver, or you can use Bluetooth. And if you want a mouse that hides dirt, the black version is easier to live with.
