Kooduu Sensa Play Mini Deep Aquamarine Bluetooth Speaker Lamp with Sound by JBL, 8W 360 Degree Audio, 150 Lumen Dimmable Light and 11-Hour Battery

The Kooduu Sensa Play Mini in deep aquamarine is a table lamp with Sound by JBL built into it, and it is one of the rare products where both halves were designed properly rather than one being bolted onto the other. 8 watts of 360 degree audio, a 150 lumen warm light you can dim in six steps, and 11 hours on a charge. We stock it in the UAE with a one-year Totot warranty.

The Kooduu Sensa Play Mini is a speaker and a lamp, and neither is an afterthought

Plenty of products bolt an LED onto a speaker or a speaker onto a lamp, and you can usually tell which half the designer cared about. The Kooduu Sensa Play Mini is unusual because both halves are specified properly: the audio is Sound by JBL with an 8W full-range driver firing 360 degrees, and the light is a real 150 lumen source at 2900K with a six-step touch dimmer.

2900K is the number that matters on the light side. That is warm white, close to an incandescent bulb, and it is the temperature that reads as candlelight on a dinner table rather than as a work lamp. A cooler LED at 4000K would be brighter to the eye and completely wrong for the setting this is built for.

The Kooduu Sensa Play Mini dimmer runs at 0, 12.5, 25, 50, 75 and 100 percent by touch. Six steps rather than a smooth slider sounds like a limitation and is actually the opposite: you can get back to the exact same setting every evening without hunting for it.

Kooduu Sensa Play Mini sound: 8W, 360 degrees and Bluetooth 5.3

8W full-range with 360 degree dispersion is the right specification for a table lamp. Because the sound radiates in every direction, nobody at the table is off-axis and listening to the back of a speaker, which is exactly what goes wrong when you put a conventional forward-firing speaker in the middle of a group.

Set your expectations at the size. 8W fills a dinner table, a balcony or a bedroom. It does not fill a garden, and the Kooduu Sensa Play Mini is not sold as something that does. If you want volume, this is the wrong product; if you want music that people can talk over, it is exactly right.

Bluetooth 5.3 on the Kooduu Sensa Play Mini is the current generation, so the connection holds when your phone is in a pocket across the room.

Kooduu Sensa Play Mini battery, charging and build

Kooduu publishes a 2200 mAh Kooduu Sensa Play Mini battery giving up to 11 hours of play time, and states around 8.5 hours at moderate settings. We would rather quote both numbers than the flattering one alone: 11 hours is the ceiling, 8.5 hours is a normal evening figure with the light on.

Recharging takes 4 hours over USB-C, and the cable is included. USB-C matters more than it sounds on a product like this, because it means the same cable that charges your phone charges the lamp.

The Kooduu Sensa Play Mini body is ABS plastic with a fabric speaker cover and a PC plastic diffuser, standing 16 cm tall and 14 cm wide at 500 grams. Half a kilo is light enough to carry from the table to the balcony one-handed while holding something else, which is how this product is actually used.

Who the Kooduu Sensa Play Mini is not for

Not for the rain or the pool. Kooduu publishes no IP rating for this model, and a product with a fabric speaker cover is not one to leave out in a downpour or set beside a pool. Treat it as an indoor lamp that also works on a covered terrace.

Not for anyone who wants a loud speaker. 8W is dinner-table volume. If you want a speaker to carry a party, buy a speaker; this is a lamp that plays music well.

Not for anyone who needs bright task lighting. 150 lumens at 2900K is atmospheric light, roughly what a good candle cluster gives. It will not let you read fine print or light a work surface.

Not for a spot with no socket nearby if you run it every evening at full brightness. The quoted 11 hours assumes moderate use; at 100 percent light and high volume it will be closer to a long evening than to two.

Buying the Kooduu Sensa Play Mini in the UAE

This is a product for the six months of the year when eating outside is the point of having a terrace, and for the other six when a warm light on the table still is. Kooduu is a Danish brand, and the design thinking shows in the details: the warm colour temperature, the fixed dimmer steps, the handle-free shape that sits flat on a table.

We ship across the Emirates including Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and Ajman from locally held stock, so delivery takes days. Units are genuine Kooduu retail items in sealed packaging, and the USB-C charging cable is included.

Warranty is one year from Totot against manufacturing defects. The Kooduu Sensa Play Mini product title carries no TDRA registration, so no separate agent warranty applies to it, and we prefer to say that plainly. Our 14-day return policy covers defective or non-conforming items.

FAQ

Is the Kooduu Sensa Play Mini waterproof?

No. Kooduu publishes no IP rating for this model, and it has a fabric speaker cover. Use it indoors or on a covered terrace, not in the rain or beside a pool.

How loud is it?

8 watts, full range, radiating 360 degrees. That is dinner-table and balcony volume, enough to fill a room and to play under conversation. It is not a party speaker.

How long does the battery last?

Kooduu publishes up to 11 hours, and around 8.5 hours at moderate settings. Full brightness and high volume will bring that down.

How bright is the light?

150 lumens at 2900 K, which is warm white. That is atmospheric light for a table, not task lighting for reading.

Can I dim it?

Yes, with a touch dimmer at six fixed levels: 0, 12.5, 25, 50, 75 and 100 percent. Fixed steps mean you can return to the same setting every evening.

How does it charge?

Over USB-C, in 4 hours. The cable is included in the box.

How big is it?

16 cm tall, 14 cm wide, 500 grams. Light enough to carry one-handed.

Is the sound really JBL?

Kooduu licenses the audio as Sound by JBL and states it on the product. The driver is an 8 W full-range unit with 360 degree dispersion.

What is it made of?

An ABS plastic body with a fabric speaker cover and a polycarbonate diffuser over the light.

Does it work while charging?

Kooduu does not publish an answer to this, so we will not state one. Ask us before ordering and we will test a unit from stock.
