The Insta360 Ace Pro is the action camera that stopped pretending sensor size does not matter. At 1/1.3 inches it uses a physically larger sensor than most of the category, co-engineered with Leica, and that is the specification that decides what footage looks like at sunset and indoors rather than at noon on a beach. It shoots 8K, flips its screen forward, and survives 10 metres of water without a case. We stock it in the UAE with a one-year Totot warranty.

The Insta360 Ace Pro 1/1.3-inch sensor is the whole argument
Action cameras have spent a decade competing on resolution numbers while using tiny sensors. The Insta360 Ace Pro takes the other route: a 1/1.3-inch sensor, which is physically larger than what most of the category uses, co-engineered with Leica, behind an F2.6 lens at a 16mm equivalent focal length.
Sensor size on the Insta360 Ace Pro is the specification that decides whether footage falls apart when the light goes. A bigger sensor collects more light per pixel, which is why the difference between a large-sensor and a small-sensor action camera is invisible at midday on a beach and obvious at sunset, indoors, or under a dive light.
The Leica partnership is a co-engineering arrangement on the imaging system, which Insta360 states directly. We are repeating Insta360’s wording rather than claiming the lens elements are made in Wetzlar, because that is not what the claim says.
Insta360 Ace Pro 8K, and the frame rate condition nobody prints
The Insta360 Ace Pro records 8K video at 7680 x 4320. Insta360 publishes that mode at 24 frames per second.
That condition matters and most listings drop it. 24fps is the cinema frame rate: it looks right for a scripted shot and it is the wrong tool for fast action, where 30 or 60fps is what keeps motion readable. So the honest way to describe this camera is that 8K is available for considered, slower footage, and that your actual action shooting will live at 4K where the frame rates are higher.
Insta360 Ace Pro stills are 48MP at 8064 x 6048, which is genuinely useful resolution for cropping a frame down afterwards rather than a number on a box.
Behind all of it is a 5nm AI chip, which is what makes the AI features below run on the camera rather than needing a phone.
Insta360 Ace Pro stabilisation, low light and the AI features
FlowState on the Insta360 Ace Pro is Insta360’s stabilisation system and it is the reason people buy Insta360 cameras rather than the competition. PureVideo is the separate low-light mode, and it is worth knowing that these are two different things: stabilisation fixes shake, PureVideo addresses noise when the light is poor. A camera can be excellent at one and mediocre at the other.
On the software side, Insta360 publishes three AI features for the Ace Pro. AI Highlights Assistant goes through your footage and picks the moments worth keeping, which on a camera that generates hours of clips is the difference between editing and never editing. AI Warp applies generative transformations to video. AI Selfie Stick Eraser removes the selfie stick from the frame.
The selfie stick eraser is the one that sounds like a gimmick and is not. Every action camera shot taken on a pole contains a pole, and removing it in software is what makes those shots look like they were taken by somebody else following you.
The Insta360 Ace Pro flip screen, battery and water rating
The 2.4-inch touchscreen flips forward, which is the single most practical design decision on this camera if you film yourself. Framing a shot with yourself in it, without the screen visible, is guesswork. Insta360 lists the rear screen at 240 x 400 pixels and 192 PPI, with a small 96 x 128 front display as well.
The Insta360 Ace Pro battery is 1650mAh, and Insta360 rates it at approximately 100 minutes. Read the test condition attached to that figure: it is measured at 4K30 with Active HDR. Shooting 8K, or in cold, will bring it down. A hundred minutes is a good result for the category but it is not a full day of filming, and a spare battery is the accessory to budget for.
Insta360 Ace Pro water rating is 10 metres for the camera on its own, and 60 metres with the dive case. The dive case is a separate accessory rather than part of the camera, so if diving is your plan, ask us what is in the box before ordering. Dust rating is IP5X.
Ace Pro or Ace Pro 2: which one is this
Insta360 sells both an Insta360 Ace Pro and a newer Ace Pro 2. This listing is the Insta360 Ace Pro, the original, and we say so plainly because the two names are one character apart and the specifications differ.
If a specific Ace Pro 2 feature is why you are shopping, this is not that camera and you should say so before ordering rather than after. If you are buying on image quality per dirham, the Ace Pro is the one that makes the large-sensor argument at a lower price than the newer model.
Who the Insta360 Ace Pro is not for
Not for 8K at high frame rates. Insta360 publishes 8K at 24fps. If you need 8K60, no action camera in this class offers it and you should not buy expecting it.
Not for diving without buying more. The camera alone is rated to 10 metres, which covers swimming, snorkelling and getting knocked off a jet ski. The 60 metre figure requires the dive case, which is separate.
Not for all-day filming on one battery. Around 100 minutes at 4K30 with Active HDR is the published figure, and 8K will be less. Buy a spare.
Not for anyone who wants a 360 degree camera. This is a standard action camera with a forward-facing lens. Insta360 makes 360 cameras and this is not one of them.
And not for anyone who needs a memory card in the box. The camera takes microSD up to 1TB, and for 8K recording you want a fast card rated for high-bitrate video rather than the cheapest one on the shelf.
Buying the Insta360 Ace Pro in the UAE
A camera you can take into the sea to 10 metres without a case, that handles low light better than the category average, is a sensible fit for a country where half the interesting footage happens on water and the other half happens after sunset when it finally cools down.
We ship across the Emirates including Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and Ajman from locally held stock, so delivery takes days. Units are genuine Insta360 retail items in sealed packaging.
Warranty is one year from Totot against manufacturing defects. The Insta360 Ace Pro product title carries no TDRA registration, so no separate agent warranty applies to it, and we prefer to state that plainly rather than let you assume coverage that does not exist. Our 14-day return policy covers defective or non-conforming items.

Every figure on this page comes from Insta360’s own product page and hardware specification sheet for the Ace Pro. FAQ
Does the Insta360 Ace Pro really shoot 8K?
Yes, at 7680 x 4320. Insta360 publishes that mode at 24 frames per second, which is the cinema frame rate. For fast action you will want 4K, where higher frame rates are available.
How waterproof is it?
10 metres with no case at all, and 60 metres with the dive case. The dive case is a separate accessory. Dust rating is IP5X.
How long does the battery last?
Around 100 minutes on the 1650 mAh battery, measured by Insta360 at 4K30 with Active HDR. Shooting 8K will be less. A spare battery is the first accessory to buy.
What size is the sensor?
1/1.3 inch, co-engineered with Leica, behind an F2.6 lens at 16 mm equivalent. That is physically larger than most action camera sensors, which is what helps in low light.
Is this the Ace Pro or the Ace Pro 2?
This is the Insta360 Ace Pro, the original model. Insta360 also sells a newer Ace Pro 2 with different specifications. If you specifically need the Ace Pro 2, this is not it.
Does the screen flip forward?
Yes, a 2.4 inch flip touchscreen, so you can frame yourself. There is also a small front display at 96 x 128 pixels.
What is PureVideo?
Insta360’s low-light video mode. It is separate from FlowState, which is the stabilisation system. One handles noise, the other handles shake.
Is a memory card included?
No. It takes microSD up to 1 TB. For 8K recording use a fast card rated for high-bitrate video.
How much does it weigh?
Approximately 179.8 grams, measuring 71.9 x 52.15 x 38.5 mm.
Can it remove the selfie stick from video?
Yes. Insta360 publishes an AI Selfie Stick Eraser feature that takes the pole out of the frame, which is what makes pole shots look like somebody else filmed you.
