The FORM Smart Swim 2 is a pair of swim goggles with a small display built into the lens. While you swim, it shows your time, distance, pace and heart rate in your line of sight, so you no longer need to stop at the wall and look for a clock. It is the middle model of the range: above the Smart Swim 2 LT, which has no heart rate sensor, and below the Smart Swim 2 PRO with its Gorilla Glass lens. FORM lists the weight as 69 g and the battery as up to 14 hours between charges.

What the display shows
The FORM Smart Swim 2 tracks time, distance, pace and heart rate, and FORM says stroke and rest are detected automatically, so you do not press buttons at every wall. The display is customisable, which lets you keep only the numbers you train with, and it can be set for the left or the right eye. Because the data stays in view, you can hold a target pace across a whole set instead of guessing, whether you swim lengths in a 25 m community pool or a 50 m club pool. These basic metrics and stroke detection come with every pair, with no subscription needed.

Built-in heart rate
The FORM Smart Swim 2 has a heart rate sensor built into the goggles, and FORM lists heart rate zones for this model. That is the main reason to pick it over the cheaper LT, which FORM lists without heart rate. Seeing your heart rate during the swim helps you keep easy sets truly easy and push only where your plan asks for it, with no chest strap or watch needed for the reading. After the session, the data syncs to the FORM app for review, and FORM says the goggles also work with Strava.

Open water with a watch
FORM designs the goggles for the pool, open water and swim spas. In open water, the in-goggle metrics still work, and a built-in compass called SwimStraight helps you hold a straight line between buoys. The goggles do not have GPS of their own: FORM states that GPS distance and pace in open water require pairing with an Apple Watch or a Garmin watch. If you swim at the beach without one of those watches, you get the compass and the goggle metrics, but not GPS distance.

Lens, fit and battery
The FORM Smart Swim 2 uses a regular mirrored lens with a factory anti-fog coating, built to cut glare indoors and outdoors. FORM rates it UPF 50+ and says it blocks 98% of harmful UV rays, which is welcome under the strong UAE sun. Five interchangeable arched nose bridges from XS to XL let you adjust the fit. FORM support states up to 14 hours of battery between charges, varying with settings such as display brightness, and roughly an hour to charge from 0 to 80%. The goggles switch off by themselves 20 minutes after you stop if you do not power them down.

FORM Premium, explained
Every pair includes the basic metrics and stroke detection. FORM Premium is an optional paid subscription that adds HeadCoach real-time stroke feedback, guided workouts (FORM cites more than 1,500), adaptive training plans and Swimmer Type analysis. FORM says the first month is free and that creating an account requires a credit card, with the option to cancel before any charge. If you only want to see your numbers while you swim, you can skip Premium entirely.

Who This Is Not For
The FORM Smart Swim 2 is not for divers or anyone who jumps into the water with goggles on: FORM publishes no depth rating, does not recommend diving or jumping in with them, and says they work best when you push off the wall. It has no GPS of its own, so open water distance needs an Apple Watch or Garmin. Swimmers with a prescription stronger than about -2 may find the display hard to read, according to FORM. Coaching features such as HeadCoach and training plans need a paid FORM Premium subscription.
