The Dyson Airwrap Co-anda2x Ceramic Pink is the HS09 multi-styler and dryer in Dyson’s Ceramic Pink body with Rose Gold accents. This is the Straight+Wavy kit, the set Dyson builds for straight and wavy hair: two Co-anda2x curling barrels, an AirSmooth2x attachment, two brushes and a Fast dryer, all stored in a presentation case. It dries, curls, waves, smooths and adds volume using air rather than hot plates or clamps, and it recognises each attachment and sets heat and airflow for it.

How the Co-anda2x styling works
Dyson named the HS09 after the Coanda effect: air leaving the barrel follows its curved surface, so a section of hair wraps itself around the barrel without a clamp. On the Dyson Airwrap Co-anda2x Ceramic Pink the barrels are the new Co-anda2x design, driven by the Hyperdymium 2 motor, which Dyson says spins at up to 150,000 rpm and produces 7 kPa of air pressure, twice that of the previous Airwrap generation. More pressure means the Dyson Airwrap Co-anda2x Ceramic Pink barrel catches and wraps hair with less effort from you, and the AirSmooth2x attachment uses that pressure to smooth dry hair without hot plates.
Six attachments in the Straight+Wavy kit
The box holds the 30 mm and 40 mm Co-anda2x curling barrels, the AirSmooth2x attachment, the Anti-snag loop brush 2x, the Round volumising brush 2x and the Fast dryer 2x. A typical Dyson Airwrap Co-anda2x Ceramic Pink routine starts with the Fast dryer on wet hair, moves to the Anti-snag loop brush to smooth the lengths as they dry or the Round volumising brush for lift at the roots, then one of the barrels for waves, with the AirSmooth2x to finish. Dyson states that only Co-anda2x attachments fit this styler; attachments from older Airwrap models are not compatible.
Intelligent attachments and i.d. curl
Each attachment carries an RFID chip, so the Dyson Airwrap Co-anda2x Ceramic Pink knows which one is fitted and applies preset heat and airflow; you can change those presets and the styler remembers them. With the MyDyson app connected over Bluetooth you can create hair profiles for more than one person. The i.d. curl feature builds a personalised one-touch curl sequence: an accelerometer detects when hair has been wrapped around the barrel, then the styler runs heat, airflow and timing for you and ends with a cool shot to set the curl.

Who This Is Not For
The Dyson Airwrap Co-anda2x Ceramic Pink is not the kit for very curly or coily hair; Dyson sells a separate Curly+Coily kit with different attachments. It does not accept older Airwrap attachments, and some features such as i.d. curl and hair profiles need the MyDyson app on a phone. It is also a premium tool: if you only need to dry hair, a dedicated hair dryer costs far less. The pale pink finish shows make-up and dust more than Jasper Plum does.
