Built-in heart rate sensors
The Powerbeats Pro 2 Jet Black measure heart rate from the ear using LED optical sensors that pulse light more than 100 times each second. With ANC on, the numbers are up to 8 hours and up to 36 hours. Fast Fuel gives up to 90 minutes of listening from a 5-minute USB-C charge. The case is 33% smaller than the original, according to Apple, and charges on a Qi-certified pad or by USB-C; it is not sweat or water resistant. A USB-C cable and power adapter are not included.
Who This Is Not For
The Powerbeats Pro 2 Jet Black are not for swimmers: the IPX4 rating covers sweat and splashes on the buds only, and the case has no water protection. With earhooks, they are larger than compact earbuds, so they are not ideal for sleeping or under tight headgear. There is no cable or adapter in the box. Heart rate monitoring is for workout feedback, needs a compatible app, and must be started manually on Android.
