Chrom is the prince and swordsman from Fire Emblem Awakening, and the figure shows him with his sword Falchion raised and his white cape flowing behind him on a red base.

Fire Emblem series or Smash series: which amiibo Chrom is this?
Nintendo has made two different Chrom figures. The Fire Emblem series version on this page came first, in 2017. The Super Smash Bros. series version followed after Chrom joined Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, and Nintendo lists it as a separate product with its own release date. The two are different sculpts in different packaging, so collectors who want a complete Fire Emblem shelf usually look for this one.
The quickest way to tell them apart is the box: the Fire Emblem series package carries the Fire Emblem logo at the top, as in our gallery. If you specifically need the Smash series figure for a Smash collection, this amiibo Chrom is not that product.
What amiibo Chrom unlocks in Fire Emblem Warriors
Koei Tecmo’s official Fire Emblem Warriors page explains how Fire Emblem series amiibo work in that game. Tapping one gives you a weapon, materials or gold, and the Chrom and Tiki figures give a special weapon of their own. Each character can be used once a day, up to five different characters a day, so a collection of figures pays off over several sessions.
Fire Emblem Warriors was released for Nintendo Switch and New Nintendo 3DS. On Switch, amiibo are read by holding the figure’s base over the NFC area on the right Joy-Con stick or on the Pro Controller.

Nintendo’s own page for this figure points to its amiibo compatibility chart rather than listing every game, and notes that some games may need a software update before they read amiibo.
