A station that empties the bin for you
With most robot vacuums you tip out a small bin after nearly every run. On the eufy L60 Hybrid SES Black the robot docks when it finishes, and the station sucks the dirt out of its 260 ml bin into a sealed 2.5 L disposable bag. eufy quotes 17,000 Pa of suction for that emptying step and says one bag covers up to 60 days, which in practice depends on how dusty the home is and how often the robot runs. In the UAE, where fine sand blows in through balconies and doors every day, that means changing a bag every few weeks instead of emptying a bin every evening. Replacement bags are sold separately.
Hair detangling built into the station
Long hair wrapped round the roller brush is the chore every robot owner knows. eufy solves it at the dock: according to the user guide, the Self-Empty Station has an electric rolling blade that detangles hair from the brush each time the eufy L60 Hybrid SES Black returns. For safety, the blade stops and retracts if the robot is lifted more than about 3 mm, and it also retracts during a power cut. That makes the eufy L60 Hybrid SES Black a sensible pick for homes with long-haired family members or pets that shed on tiles and rugs.
LiDAR mapping and room control
A spinning laser sensor on top scans each room, and AI.Map 2.0 turns the scan into a floor plan in the eufy Clean app. From that map you choose which rooms to clean, draw No-Go Zones around pet bowls or cable corners, and store maps for several floors with Multi-Floor Mapping. The route is planned in neat lines rather than random bouncing, and the robot climbs thresholds and rug edges up to 20 mm high, enough for most door strips. BoostIQ raises suction automatically on surfaces that need it, such as rugs, and there are four suction levels: Quiet, Standard, Turbo and Max.
Mopping with the Hybrid module
The Hybrid in the name is the mopping module: a 290 ml water tank with a mop pad that clips under the robot. You set the water flow level in the app. eufy describes it as light cleaning for hard floors, so think of it as a daily wipe that removes dust film and footprints from tiles and marble. The pad does not rotate or press down, so dried stains still need a hand mop. Remove the mopping module, or set a no-mop area in the app, before the eufy L60 Hybrid SES Black cleans carpet.
Battery, Wi-Fi and voice control
The user guide lists a 2,600 mAh battery; eufy does not publish a run-time figure on the product page or in the guide. The eufy L60 Hybrid SES Black returns to the station on its own to recharge. It connects to both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz Wi-Fi and uses Bluetooth Low Energy during setup, and it can be started with Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant, which eufy notes are sold separately and set up through the app. The robot measures 326 x 332 mm and 102 mm tall including the laser turret; the station is 440 x 331 x 356 mm.
Who the eufy L60 Hybrid SES Black suits
It suits villas and larger apartments where you want room-by-room control, a saved map and a bin you only deal with every few weeks. Busy families, pet owners and anyone with long hair in the house benefit most from the station’s emptying and detangling, while multi-storey homes can store a map for each floor.
Who This Is Not For
The eufy L60 Hybrid SES Black is not for homes that need strong scrubbing of dried stains: the pad only wipes. At 102 mm tall with the laser turret, it will not reach under very low furniture the way slim robots can. The station needs floor space of about 44 x 33 cm and disposable dust bags over time, sold separately. It has a single side brush, so corners get less attention than on twin-brush models. eufy notes that the anti-drop sensors work less well when dirty or on reflective floors, and loose cables, socks and toys should be picked up before a run.
