The Fitbit Edge Olive is the outdoor-looking version of Google’s new tracker. Google lists it as a Satin Pyrite aluminium case with an Olive Active Band: a warm, brassy metal paired with a muted green that sits naturally next to trail shoes, khaki and earth tones. The hardware is the same as every Fitbit Edge, and much of it is aimed at training outside: built-in GPS with Galileo support, an altimeter for climbs, more than 50 exercise modes, a 1.3-inch AMOLED screen readable in sunlight and up to 7 days of battery in Google’s test. Google announced the tracker on 12 October 2026 at $179.99 in the US. Totot sells the Fitbit Edge Olive brand-new and sealed as an imported unit.

What the Fitbit Edge Olive finish looks like
Satin Pyrite is named after the mineral sometimes called fool’s gold: a warm metal tone between brass and bronze, finished with a soft satin sheen rather than a mirror shine. The Olive band is a muted, slightly grey green rather than a bright lime. Together they look earthy and understated, closer to outdoor gear than to jewellery. Google uses this same Satin Pyrite case on the Stephen Curry Special Edition, so the metal is the warmer choice in the range compared with the silver Fog or the black Obsidian. The band is silicone with a soft-touch coating, and the case is recycled aluminium.

Who the Fitbit Edge Olive colour suits
The Fitbit Edge Olive suits people who spend their free time outside: early morning runs along the corniche, weekend hikes in Hatta or Jebel Jais, cycling, padel or desert camping. Green hides dust, sand and sweat marks far better than the pale Fog band, and it does not look out of place with khaki, beige, navy or olive clothing. It is also a good pick if black feels too plain and silver too formal. If you dress mainly in cool greys and blues for work, Fog or Obsidian will blend in more easily; Olive is the casual, weekend colour of the family.

Outdoor training on the Fitbit Edge Olive
For outdoor sessions the built-in GPS records route, distance and pace without carrying your phone, and Google says the new GPS is up to 40% more accurate than its previous generations. The altimeter tracks floors and elevation gain on climbs. Google lists more than 50 exercise modes, live in-workout metrics, on-wrist coaching cues, automatic activity recognition, an intensity map and a post-workout summary, plus Cardio Load, Readiness and VO2 Max estimates. A 24/7 heart rate sensor feeds Active Zone Minutes, and the tracker can share live heart rate with compatible gym equipment. Personalised training plans come from the Google Health Coach, which needs a Google Health Premium membership.

Health features and country limits
The Fitbit Edge has an ECG app, AFib detection, alerts for irregular, high and low heart rate, SpO2 and skin temperature via two thermistors. Google states that the ECG app is only available in select countries and is not intended for people under 22. Blood pressure and insulin resistance trends are part of Google Health Premium, a paid subscription; Google says they are for general wellness only, are not screening for hypertension or diabetes, are not available to pregnant users, and vary by region. Because this Fitbit Edge Olive is imported, check which of these features Google enables for your account before relying on them.
The rest, in brief
Every colour shares the same hardware. Google says the display is 45% bigger and over 40% brighter than before, without publishing a nit figure. The 65 mAh battery lasts up to 7 days with default settings and Battery Saver features, charges fully in about 90 minutes, and can be replaced to extend the tracker’s life. Built-in GPS and an altimeter cover outdoor sessions, with more than 50 exercise modes. The case is rated 5 ATM and IP68, and weighs 17.7 g without the band.
Who This Is Not For
The Fitbit Edge Olive is not for you if you want offline maps or turn-by-turn navigation on long hikes: Google lists Google Maps, which relies on your phone, not stored topographic maps. GPS sessions also drain the battery faster than the 7-day figure, which Google measured with default settings and Battery Saver features. It is a fitness tracker, not a smartwatch, with no mobile network or third-party apps, and it needs Android 11 or newer or iOS 16.4 or higher with a Google Account. Training plans from the Google Health Coach and the blood pressure and insulin trends require a paid Premium subscription. Google notes the 5 ATM tracker is not waterproof, so avoid saunas and diving.
