Everybody’s Golf Hot Shots Switch is the European physical edition of the newest Everybody’s Golf, the arcade golf series known as Hot Shots Golf in North America. Bandai Namco Entertainment publishes it and the studio HYDE developed it, and Bandai Namco announced it as available on consoles and PC on 5 September 2025. It keeps the series’ famous three-press swing, brings more than 25 playable golfers, adds the new Wacky Golf party modes and lets up to four people play, either on one console by sharing a controller or online. A new Everybody’s Golf, not a remaster
Everybody’s Golf began on PlayStation, and this entry also launched on PS5 and PC alongside Nintendo Switch. Bandai Namco describes it as a new entry with the largest cast the series has had. The tone is bright and cartoon-like: you do not play as real tour professionals but as colourful original golfers, each with a personality and a play style. Rounds start fast and the screen is easy to read, which is why Everybody’s Golf Hot Shots Switch suits both a quiet solo session and a family evening where the controller goes round the room.
The three-press swing and special shots
The heart of Everybody’s Golf Hot Shots Switch is the three-button shot: you aim, then press once to start the swing, once to set the power and once to lock the accuracy. Nintendo’s listing sums it up as pressing the button three times at the right moment. Anyone can hit the ball in the first minute, but landing it close to the pin on a windy hole takes practice. As a golfer’s loyalty grows, Bandai Namco says they unlock spin shots, homing shots and character-specific special shots. You can also tune stats, clubs and balls to each golfer, and caddies give play tips and support skills. Dynamic weather and time-of-day changes mean the same hole can play differently from one round to the next.
Challenge Mode, World Tour and Solo Rounds
Challenge Mode is the main solo path in Everybody’s Golf Hot Shots Switch: you enter tournaments, beat rivals and unlock characters, scenarios and bigger events as you climb. Solo Rounds let you replay courses to chase a personal best. World Tour spans 10 regions, with character interactions that Bandai Namco says are specific to each player, and the courses themselves are inspired by 10 countries and regions. Together these give a solo player a long run of content before any multiplayer starts.
Wacky Golf for parties
Wacky Golf is the new mode in Everybody’s Golf Hot Shots Switch. It adds obstacles and challenges to normal golf and can be played alone or with others. Bandai Namco Europe names four variations: Colorful, Scramble, Survival Golf and Boom Golf. It is the mode to pick when the goal is laughter rather than a low score, and it works well with younger players who are still learning the timing of the swing.
25+ golfers, PAC-MAN and multiplayer
Bandai Namco lists more than 25 playable characters in Everybody’s Golf Hot Shots Switch, a record for the series, and PAC-MAN returns as an unlockable golfer. Nintendo’s listing gives 1–4 players offline and 1–4 online. Local play for up to four works by passing one controller around, so a family match does not need extra controllers, but it is turn-based rather than split-screen. Online rounds against golfers worldwide need a Nintendo Account and a paid Nintendo Switch Online membership.
European cartridge, Switch and Switch 2
This is the European physical edition with a PEGI 3 rating, suitable for all ages. Nintendo’s listing gives the supported languages as English, French, German, Italian and Spanish. A cartridge means you can play without waiting for a download, lend it, or keep it on the shelf. On Nintendo Switch it runs in TV, tabletop and handheld modes, and Nintendo’s eShop listing also gives a storage figure for Nintendo Switch 2, which plays Switch game cards through backward compatibility.
Who This Is Not For
If you want a realistic golf simulation with licensed professionals, real tournaments and detailed swing physics, Everybody’s Golf Hot Shots Switch is not that game: it focuses on cartoon golfers, playful modes and timing-based shots. Online play and cloud saves need a paid Nintendo Switch Online membership. There is no Arabic text, only English, French, German, Italian and Spanish. Local multiplayer shares one controller in turns, so it is not simultaneous split-screen.
