The Shokz OpenFit 2 Beige is the light, warm-toned version of OpenFit 2, Shokz’ ear-hook open-ear earbud. A soft silicone hook wraps over the top of the ear and holds the speaker just outside the ear canal, so nothing goes inside the ear and you keep hearing traffic, announcements and the people around you. Shokz builds it around DualBoost, with separate high- and low-frequency drivers, plus DirectPitch to keep sound aimed at your ear. Battery life is up to 11 hours per charge and up to 48 hours with the case, the earbuds are IP55, and you control them with real physical buttons rather than touch only. The beige shade sits close to many skin tones, so on the ear it looks understated.

Why beige
Ear-hook earbuds are larger than clip-on buds and partly visible over the ear, so the colour affects how noticeable they are. The Shokz OpenFit 2 Beige uses a soft, creamy beige close to ivory that blends with lighter and medium skin tones and with light hair, which makes the hook less obvious than black from a distance. It pairs naturally with neutral, cream and earth-tone clothing, and with a beige or white hijab. On the downside, a light colour shows makeup, sunscreen and dirt sooner than black, so wipe the hook with a soft, slightly damp cloth now and then, and dry it before placing the buds in the case. If you want something that hides marks completely, the black version is the low-maintenance pick.
DualBoost sound
Most open-ear earbuds use a single driver per side. The Shokz OpenFit 2 Beige uses Shokz DualBoost, with an independent high-frequency driver and a separate low-frequency driver in each earbud, aiming for clearer highs and stronger bass than a single-driver open design. DirectPitch steers the sound towards the ear canal to reduce leakage at moderate volume. In the Shokz app you can pick from four EQ modes: Standard, Vocal, Bass Boost and Treble Boost. OpenFit 2 does not have Dolby Audio; that is reserved for OpenFit 2+. Shokz does not publish driver sizes, frequency response or the Bluetooth version.
Battery and charging
Shokz rates the Shokz OpenFit 2 Beige at up to 11 hours of listening per charge and up to 48 hours with the charging case; real results depend on volume, source and surroundings. A 10-minute quick charge gives about 2 hours of playback. The earbuds fill up in about 60 minutes in the case, and an empty case takes about 100 minutes with the included USB-C cable. The Shokz OpenFit 2 Beige has no wireless charging; if you want Qi charging, OpenFit 2+ adds it.
Physical buttons, calls and multipoint
Touch controls on small earbuds can be triggered by accident when you adjust them or wear a hat. The Shokz OpenFit 2 Beige uses physical multifunction buttons instead, and you can also enable touch controls or customise the buttons in the Shokz app. Each earbud has two microphones to keep your voice clear on calls. Multipoint keeps the earbuds connected to two devices at once, either earbud works alone, and Find My Earbuds in the app helps when they are within about 10 metres of your phone.
Fit for sport and long wear
The hook spreads the weight over the top of the ear, and each Shokz OpenFit 2 Beige earbud weighs about 9.4 g. Shokz offers one universal size. Because the ear stays open, you can hear cars and cyclists while running and stay part of the conversation at work. The IP55 rating protects against sweat, dust and light rain. Before first use, remove the protective films near the charging contacts so the buds charge properly in the case.
Who This Is Not For
The Shokz OpenFit 2 Beige has no active noise cancellation, and its open design lets outside sound in, so it will not quieten a flight or a loud metro. It has no Dolby Audio and no wireless charging; both come with OpenFit 2+. The case is bigger than clip-on cases at about 53 g, and the hooks may feel crowded alongside thick glasses arms for some wearers. IP55 handles sweat and light rain, not swimming. The beige shows makeup and dirt sooner than black, so it needs occasional wiping.
