The Darkfield sensor in the MX Master 4 Graphite runs from 200 to 8,000 DPI in steps of 50, with 1,000 as the nominal setting. Logitech says it tracks on virtually any surface including glass, which matters on glass desks, marble counters or a hotel table. High DPI helps on large and multiple 4K screens, where a low setting needs big hand movements to cross the display. This is a productivity sensor, not an esports one; Logitech does not publish a polling rate for gaming use.
MagSpeed wheel, thumb wheel and 8 buttons
The steel MagSpeed wheel switches between a precise ratchet mode and a free-spin mode that Logitech says scrolls up to 1,000 lines per second, handy in long spreadsheets, code files and timelines.
