The Playseat PUMA Active Gaming Seat Red is the bright version of the floor-level seat that Playseat makes with PUMA. It is a seat you put on the floor in front of a TV or low screen; the product photos show no gas-lift base, no wheels and no armrests. Playseat’s data sheet for the PUMA Active Gaming Seat lists an ActiFit design for freedom of movement, MotionForce rubber feet, four knitted pockets and a user range of 20 to 122 kg. Retailers list the red version under item PPG.00230. Red is the pick when the seat is meant to be seen.

Red for a room that is built around gaming
The Playseat PUMA Active Gaming Seat Red is the colour for a dedicated gaming corner, a teenager’s room or a streaming setup where the seat appears on camera. Red matches red-accent controllers, RGB lighting and PUMA sportswear, and it gives a plain room one strong point of colour. The trade-off is upkeep: a bright seat on the floor shows dust and marks sooner than black, so brush it off regularly and avoid eating over it. If the room is neutral and you want the seat to disappear, the black version is the quieter option.
How the ActiFit seat feels in use
Playseat’s words for the ActiFit design are complete freedom of movement when gaming, with a seat that adapts to all your positions. On the Playseat PUMA Active Gaming Seat Red that means you can lean in during a close race or a boss fight and settle back between rounds without a rigid chair holding you in place. There is no back-angle lever or height adjustment; support comes from the seat’s own form. Playseat calls the cover high-tech, breathable material and does not publish what it is made of.
Feet, grip and pockets
The Playseat PUMA Active Gaming Seat Red rests on MotionForce rubber feet, which Playseat says keep you in the best sitting position. On marble, porcelain tiles or laminate, rubber contact is what stops a floor seat creeping backwards during play. Four knitted pockets give quick access to a controller, a phone and the TV remote. They are knitted rather than rigid, so they suit slim items; a bulky headset is better kept on a stand nearby.
Sizes, limits and the box
Playseat sets the limits at 20 kg to 122 kg for user weight and 120 cm to 220 cm for user length, which covers older children through to tall adults. The data sheet lists a gross weight of 7 kg and a packaging size of 77 x 13 x 38 cm, so the Playseat PUMA Active Gaming Seat Red is light enough to carry from the bedroom to the living room for a game night. Playseat does not publish the assembled size, so we leave it out; the product photos give a sense of its footprint.
Good uses for the red seat
Use the Playseat PUMA Active Gaming Seat Red for couch-free console gaming, handheld sessions, film nights on the floor, or as the on-camera seat in a streaming or content corner where its colour reads well on video. It is not meant for working at a desk. For long sessions, keep the screen at eye level and get up every so often, as you would with any seat.
Who This Is Not For
The Playseat PUMA Active Gaming Seat Red is not for a desk or PC at normal desk height, because it sits on the floor with no height adjustment. It has no wheels, swivel, armrests or recline. It is not for users above 122 kg or outside the 120 to 220 cm user length range. Anyone who wants a seat that hides dirt and blends into a neutral room should choose black instead.
