What the Straight+Wavy kit is for
The Straight+Wavy kit targets straight and wavy hair that needs help holding a curl. The product photos show the Conical barrel, a long barrel for loose waves, a large round volumising brush, a styling brush, the Dryer+Flyaway smoother, the fast dryer, a filter cleaning brush and the presentation case. The Dyson Airwrap i.d. Ceramic Pink therefore covers rough drying, smoothing, volume at the root and curls in one set. There is no Wave+Curl diffuser in this kit; that belongs to the Curly+Coily version for textured hair.
i.d. curl: settings tailored to your hair
The i.d. generation is the first Airwrap with Bluetooth. In the MyDyson app you take a short hair-profile quiz, and the result builds an i.d. curl sequence that adjusts the styler as soon as you switch it on. Dyson says the Dyson Airwrap i.d. Ceramic Pink then times the wrap, the styling heat and the cold shot for each curl, so results repeat day after day. The app also sends tailored styling tips, live product updates, troubleshooting notifications and filter maintenance prompts. You can still style manually with three heat settings and three airflow speeds.
Airflow, heat and weight
For the Dyson Airwrap i.d. Ceramic Pink, Dyson lists airflow at 13.5 litres per second and power at 1300W, with a motor spinning at 110,000rpm. Because the Coanda effect does the wrapping, the temperature stays under 150°C, and an ioniser helps reduce static. Dyson Hong Kong gives the weight as 0.61kg and the dimensions as 48mm by 272mm by 41mm. Dyson also confirms that all Airwrap i.d. attachments are compatible with earlier Airwrap stylers, so owners of an older model can share barrels between the two.
The Hong Kong version in the UAE
The Dyson Airwrap i.d. Ceramic Pink we sell is the Hong Kong model. Dyson manufactures each styler for the voltage of the country it is sold in and advises against using it with a travel adaptor. Hong Kong uses 220V, 50Hz mains and the same three-pin square plug as the UAE, so it plugs straight into a UAE socket without an adaptor. As it is not a UAE-distributed unit, Dyson’s local service network does not cover it; the warranty comes from Totot.
Who This Is Not For
The Dyson Airwrap i.d. Ceramic Pink Straight+Wavy kit is not for tight curls or coily hair that needs a diffuser and wide-tooth comb; that is the Curly+Coily kit. The pale Dyson Airwrap i.d. Ceramic Pink finish shows make-up and product marks quickly. Dyson does not publish the cable length on its Hong Kong listing. As a Hong Kong unit, it is not covered by Dyson’s UAE service network. Anyone who only blow-dries would spend less on a dedicated dryer.
