The OnePlus 15 Misty Purple is the flagship OnePlus 15 in its violet finish, here with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. OnePlus describes the purple colour as an evocative violet shade framed with an iridescent glowing aura, so the back shifts tone as light moves across it. Inside are the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, a 6.78-inch LTPO display that runs from 1Hz to 120Hz and reaches 165Hz in supported games, a 7,300mAh battery and three 50MP rear cameras. It runs OxygenOS 16 on Android 16.

What the Misty Purple finish looks like
On OnePlus’s global site the purple OnePlus 15 is called Ultra Violet, and the OnePlus 15 Misty Purple is that same violet family. The OnePlus 15 Misty Purple is not a pastel lilac: the base is a deep violet, and the iridescent aura OnePlus mentions shows up as a lighter glow around the edges and the camera area when the phone catches daylight or a desk lamp. Indoors under warm light it looks darker and more muted, close to plum. That makes it a colour that stands out on a table without looking loud, and it pairs well with black, grey, white or silver cases and accessories. OnePlus lists the purple finish at 0.82 cm thick and 215 g, the same as Infinite Black.
Who the purple OnePlus 15 suits
The OnePlus 15 Misty Purple suits buyers who want a flagship Android phone that does not look like every other black slab in the office or at a family gathering. It is a good pick for content creators and people who film for social media, because the phone itself often appears in mirror shots and desk setups, and the OnePlus 15 Misty Purple back photographs well. It also suits anyone who plans to use a clear case: a transparent cover keeps the colour visible while protecting the back. If you want the most discreet option, Black is the safer choice; if you want the toughest frame finish OnePlus describes, look at Sandstorm.
Living with the violet back day to day
Coloured backs show daily wear differently from black. Fingerprints are less obvious on the OnePlus 15 Misty Purple than on a glossy black phone, while fine dust and lint can show along the camera edge, so a quick wipe with a soft microfibre cloth keeps the iridescent effect clean. Avoid rough paper towels on the back. Because the phone weighs 215 g, most owners add a case; a clear or smoked case keeps the Misty Purple colour on show, while a black case hides it entirely, so choose the case with the colour in mind.
Performance, display and gaming
The OnePlus 15 Misty Purple runs the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 with the Qualcomm Oryon CPU at up to 4.608GHz and the Adreno 840 GPU, backed by 16GB of LPDDR5X Ultra+ RAM and 512GB of UFS 4.1 storage, the larger of the two configurations OnePlus offers (the other is 12GB+256GB). The 6.78-inch display has a 2772 × 1272 resolution at 450 ppi, 1800 nits in high brightness mode and Gorilla Glass Victus 2. OnePlus says the panel reaches 165Hz in supported games and that its test lab measured always-on 120 fps in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang for at least 60 minutes.
Cameras, battery and charging
The OnePlus 15 Misty Purple has three 50MP rear cameras: a Sony IMX906 main camera at f/1.8 with OIS, a 50MP telephoto at f/2.8 with OIS and 3.5x optical zoom (7x optical-quality), and a 50MP ultra-wide at f/2.0 with a 116° view. Rear video goes up to 8K at 30 fps, and OnePlus highlights 4K 120 fps Dolby Vision recording. The front camera is 32MP. The 7,300mAh battery is rated by OnePlus at up to 31 hours of video playback in its lab tests. OnePlus quotes a full charge in around 39 minutes with its 120W SUPERVOOC adapter and 50% in around 39 minutes on its 50W AIRVOOC magnetic charger, but no charger comes in the box.
Connectivity and durability
The OnePlus 15 Misty Purple has a dual nano-SIM slot plus eSIM support, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0 with LDAC and aptX Adaptive, NFC and an infrared blaster for TVs and air conditioners. The USB-C port runs at USB 3.2 Gen 1 and also works with standard USB-C earphones, and unlocking uses an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor. OnePlus says the phone is water and dust resistant and cites its IP ratings, but its global pages do not list the exact IP codes; OnePlus also notes the protection covers fresh water only, is not meant for diving and can weaken over time.
Who This Is Not For
The OnePlus 15 Misty Purple is not for anyone who wants a light or compact phone: the purple finish weighs 215 g and the screen is 6.78 inches. It is not for buyers who expect a charger in the box, because OnePlus does not include one, so reaching 120W needs a OnePlus SUPERVOOC adapter bought separately. It is not for people who want a quiet, neutral colour for a formal workplace; Black suits that better. If you prefer iOS, see the iPhone 17e instead. And OnePlus does not publish the exact IP codes on its global pages, so do not take it swimming or into sea water.
