For calls, each Sony WF-1000XM6 Platinum Silver earbud uses two microphones and a bone conduction sensor, with AI beamforming and AI noise reduction to separate your voice from wind and street noise; Sony calls it its best call quality yet. Talk time is up to 5 hours with noise cancelling on and 5.5 hours with it off. Multipoint keeps a phone and laptop connected together, and Sony made the antenna about 1.5 times larger than before for a steadier link in crowded malls and airports. Ambient Sound mode, Quick Attention, Adaptive Sound Control, Auto Play and Quick Access carry over, and on a compatible Android phone you can talk to Google Gemini with Hey Google.
Battery life and the Qi wireless case
Sony WF-1000XM6 Platinum Silver play up to 8 hours per charge with noise cancelling on and up to 12 hours with it off. The case adds 16 hours, for up to 24 hours in total with noise cancelling and Bluetooth on. The earbuds recharge in about 1.5 hours and the case in about 2 hours over USB, and the case also charges on a Qi wireless pad, sold separately; Sony notes that some Qi pads may not charge it properly. A USB cable is in the box. Sony recommends a USB adaptor supplying at least 0.5A.

The body of the Sony WF-1000XM6 Platinum Silver is about 11% slimmer than the WF-1000XM5, and each earbud weighs about 6.5g with the medium tips. Who This Is Not For
Sony WF-1000XM6 Platinum Silver are not for swimming or heavy water exposure: IPX4 covers splashes and sweat only. They sit deep in the ear with silicone tips, so people who dislike in-ear pressure may prefer open earbuds.
