The Samsung Galaxy Buds3 Pro are Samsung’s in-ear flagship earbuds, here in Silver. Each bud pairs a woofer with a planar tweeter, the first planar tweeter in a Galaxy Buds model, driven by two separate amplifiers, and Adaptive Noise Control adjusts cancellation to the room you are in. They are built to get the most out of a recent Samsung Galaxy phone: 24-bit/96kHz audio, 360 Audio with head tracking and live interpretation all depend on one.

Samsung Galaxy Buds3 Pro sound: woofer plus planar tweeter
Samsung calls the speaker in the Samsung Galaxy Buds3 Pro an enhanced 2-way design: a woofer for the low end and a planar tweeter for the top, each controlled by its own amplifier. Splitting the work this way keeps bass from muddying vocals and cymbals, which is where single-driver earbuds tend to blur. Samsung does not list the driver sizes on its UAE product page.
Codec support is AAC, SBC, SSC and SSC-UHQ. The 24-bit/96kHz mode runs only on compatible Samsung devices, which Samsung lists as the Galaxy S24 and S23 series, Galaxy Z Fold6, Z Flip6, Z Fold5 and Z Flip5 and the Galaxy Tab S9 series with One UI 6.1.1 or later. There is no LDAC and no aptX, so on other Android phones and on an iPhone the buds fall back to AAC or SBC. Adaptive EQ tunes the sound to your ear shape and fit on the fly.
Adaptive Noise Control on the Samsung Galaxy Buds3 Pro
Active noise cancellation is adaptive: the buds assess outside noise and adjust in real time, so a quiet office and a metro platform get different treatment without you touching anything. Voice Detect switches to ambient sound when you start talking, and Siren Detect does the same when it picks up an alarm or an emergency siren. Samsung does not publish a decibel figure for the cancellation.
Because these are in-ear buds with silicone tips, the seal does part of the work. Three tip sizes (S, M and L) come in the box, and the right size matters more for noise cancellation than any setting.
Why the Silver finish
Samsung makes the Buds3 Pro in Silver and White. The Silver version has a metallic grey finish on the stems, which shows fingerprints and skin oil less than white does after a few weeks of daily handling and pairs naturally with dark or graphite phones and watch cases. The Blade Lights on the stems can be configured in settings, so the look can be as subtle or visible as you like.
A quick wipe with a dry, soft cloth keeps the finish clean. Avoid solvents on the stems and dry the buds fully after a sweaty workout before dropping them into the case.
Battery, charging and durability
Samsung rates the Samsung Galaxy Buds3 Pro at up to 6 hours of music with noise cancelling on and up to 26 hours with the case; with it off, up to 7 and 30 hours. Talk time is up to 4.5 hours with ANC on and 5 hours with it off. Each bud holds a 53mAh cell and the case 515mAh. The case charges by USB-C cable or on a wireless charging pad.
The earbuds are rated IP57, which Samsung defines as submersion in up to 1 metre of fresh water for up to 30 minutes. The rating covers the buds only, not the case, so dry the buds and your hands before putting them away. Each bud weighs 5.4 g and the case 46.5 g, so the Samsung Galaxy Buds3 Pro sit light in the ear for long sessions.
Galaxy features: 360 Audio, Interpreter, Auracast
360 Audio with head tracking works only with Samsung Galaxy phones and tablets on One UI 3.1 or later and with selected Samsung TVs. Interpreter, which relays live translation through the buds, needs a compatible Galaxy smartphone and a Samsung Account. Auracast broadcast listening also depends on a supporting Galaxy device such as the S24 series or Z Fold6 and Z Flip6.
Auto Switch moves the connection between your Galaxy phone, tablet and watch as you change device. On the Samsung Galaxy Buds3 Pro, six microphones and a voice pickup unit handle calls, and Bluetooth 5.4 carries the link.
Who This Is Not For
iPhone owners should look elsewhere. Samsung states that the Galaxy Wearable app is not supported on iOS, so on an iPhone you lose the settings, EQ, Blade Lights control and firmware updates, and the buds work as basic Bluetooth earbuds. Android phones from other brands get the app and most controls, but not SSC-UHQ, 360 Audio or Interpreter.
They also do not suit listeners who want LDAC for high-resolution streaming from a Sony or Pixel phone, swimmers (the case has no water resistance and IP57 is not a swimming rating), or anyone who dislikes the pressure of sealed in-ear tips; the regular Galaxy Buds3 use an open-type fit instead.
