How the Open-Ear Design Works
Nothing goes into your ear with the Soundcore AeroFit 2. Each bud hangs on a soft silicone hook and points a small speaker toward the ear canal from just outside it. soundcore gives the hook four adjustment levels, so the same pair can be set tighter for running or looser for long desk sessions. The benefit is awareness and comfort: no seal, no pressure inside the canal and no blocked feeling after hours of wear. The buds support SBC, AAC and LDAC. LDAC, at up to 990 kbps, works on Android and is switched on in the soundcore app; iPhones connect over AAC. Expect clear vocals and fuller bass than older open-ear models, but not the deep, sealed bass of in-ear earbuds, because sound always escapes a little in an open design.

soundcore’s support FAQ rates the Soundcore AeroFit 2 at about 10 hours of music per charge and around 42 hours with the case, both measured at 50% volume, and about 8 hours of call time per charge. A 10-minute top-up gives up to 4 hours of playback. A full charge takes about 1 hour for the earbuds and about 2 hours for the case. Each earbud holds a 70 mAh battery and the case 750 mAh. The case supports wireless charging, so it can sit on a Qi pad overnight instead of on a cable.
Calls, Multipoint and Translation
Four microphones with AI noise reduction pick up your voice on calls. The Soundcore AeroFit 2 uses Bluetooth 5.4 with multipoint, so it can stay paired with a phone and a laptop together; you enable dual connection on the home page of the soundcore app, or by holding the touch area on both buds for 3 seconds. The app also offers free AI translation in more than 100 languages, including real-time and face-to-face modes, which needs soundcore app 3.8.7 or later and the latest earbud firmware. For mobile games, soundcore lists a gaming-mode latency of 90 ms.
Black, Sweat and the Gym
The earbuds are rated IP55, which covers sweat, dust and water jets such as rain, but soundcore states that the charging case is not waterproof, so wipe the buds dry before putting them back. soundcore lists the weight as 10 g, light enough that the hook, not your ear, carries the load during a run. Black is the practical colour for training: it hides sweat marks, sunscreen and the grime that ear hooks pick up, and it looks discreet with sunglasses or a cap. soundcore also sells a separate AeroFit 2 AI Assistant edition under model A3874X; this one is the standard A3874.
Who This Is Not For
The Soundcore AeroFit 2 has no active noise cancelling, and an open-ear design cannot block sound: on a flight, in a loud metro carriage or a busy open-plan office you will hear your surroundings clearly. At high volume in a quiet room, people near you may hear some of your music. LDAC works only on Android, the charging case is not waterproof, and bass will never match sealed in-ear earbuds.
