The UGREEN 8K HDMI 2.1 Cable in 2 m length is UGREEN model HD135: a nylon-braided HDMI 2.1 cable with aluminium plugs, rated up to 48 Gbps for 8K at 60 Hz and 4K at 120 Hz, with eARC, VRR, ALLM, QMS, QFT and Dynamic HDR, HDR10 and Dolby Vision. One correction first. Our old title said Certified and 4K at 240 Hz and 144 Hz. The UGREEN listings we could verify for this exact model list 8K at 60 Hz and 4K at 120 Hz, and do not mention Ultra High Speed certification, so we have removed those claims.

The correction: 4K@120Hz, not 240Hz, on the UGREEN 8K HDMI 2.1 Cable
Our old title for this cable said Certified Ultra High Speed and listed 4K at 240 Hz and 144 Hz. We checked the barcode on our stock, 6957303873210, against UGREEN listings. It matches UGREEN model HD135, item 70321, 2 m, grey.
The UGREEN listings for this model state up to 48 Gbps with 8K at 60 Hz and 4K at 120 Hz. They do not list 4K at 144 Hz or 240 Hz, and they do not mention the official Ultra High Speed HDMI certification label. UGREEN sells other HDMI 2.1 cables that do carry those claims, which is probably where the mix-up came from.
So we have removed Certified, 240 Hz and 144 Hz from our title. If you need a certified cable for a specific setup, message us and we will tell you honestly whether this one fits.
What the UGREEN 8K HDMI 2.1 Cable supports
The headline figure is 48 Gbps, the full bandwidth of the HDMI 2.1 standard. UGREEN lists 8K at 60 Hz and 4K at 120 Hz, which covers a PS5 or Xbox Series X running a game at 120 frames per second on a 4K 120 Hz TV.
For gaming, UGREEN lists VRR, variable refresh rate, which lets the TV match the console frame rate to reduce tearing, and ALLM, auto low latency mode, which switches the TV into game mode automatically. It also lists QMS and QFT, two HDMI 2.1 features that reduce blank screens when switching content and lower delay.
For picture, UGREEN lists Dynamic HDR, HDR10 and Dolby Vision. For sound, it lists eARC, enhanced audio return channel, which carries object-based surround formats from the TV to a soundbar or AV receiver.
Your devices decide what the UGREEN 8K HDMI 2.1 Cable can do
A cable only carries the signal. Every feature above needs both ends to support it. A 4K 60 Hz TV will stay at 60 Hz with this cable, and a soundbar without eARC will not gain it.
For 4K at 120 Hz on PS5, the TV must have an HDMI 2.1 input that supports 120 Hz, and 120 Hz output must be enabled in the console settings. On many TVs only some HDMI ports support HDMI 2.1, so check which port your TV manual marks for 4K 120 Hz or eARC.
For eARC, connect the cable to the TV port labelled eARC or ARC and turn on eARC in the TV sound settings.
Build: 2 m, nylon braid, aluminium plugs
The cable is 2 metres long with a grey nylon braided jacket and aluminium plug housings, according to the UGREEN listing. The braid resists kinks and fraying better than plain PVC when the cable is moved often, for example between a console and a laptop.
Two metres is enough for a console on a TV stand next to the screen, or a PC under a desk connected to a monitor. For a projector across a room, you will need a longer cable.
UGREEN does not publish the wire gauge or conductor material for this model, so we do not quote them.
Who the UGREEN 8K HDMI 2.1 Cable is for, and who should not buy it
It suits PS5 and Xbox Series X owners with a 4K 120 Hz TV, anyone connecting a soundbar through eARC, and anyone who wants a braided HDMI 2.1 cable at an everyday price.
Who it is not for: PC players with a 4K 144 Hz or 240 Hz monitor, since UGREEN lists 4K at 120 Hz for this model, and those monitors usually connect better over DisplayPort anyway. Anyone who specifically needs an officially certified Ultra High Speed HDMI cable with the certification label. And anyone who needs more than 2 m.
