The Green Lion Gramo Vinyl Black is a small wireless speaker styled like a portable record player. A vinyl disc on top spins through 360 degrees while music plays, seven colours of ambient light glow around it, and the whole unit folds shut like a little suitcase. Behind the retro look sits modern hardware: Bluetooth 5.3, a 52mm driver rated by Green Lion at 4W, a TF card slot and a 1200mAh battery that lasts about 7 to 8 hours at 50% volume. The black finish gives it a classic turntable look.

Why black is the classic Gramo
Old record players were mostly dark wood and black lacquer, so the Green Lion Gramo Vinyl Black is the version that looks closest to the real thing. On a desk, in a study, beside a TV or on a shelf of books, black blends in during the day and lets the spinning disc and coloured light take centre stage in the evening. It suits home offices, gaming setups with dark furniture and majlis side tables. Black also hides dust and fingerprints far better than white, which matters on a speaker you touch every time you turn the volume knob.
Sound: a 52mm driver at 4W
Green Lion fits the Green Lion Gramo Vinyl Black with a 52mm driver and rates its output at 4W. That is a personal speaker for a desk, a bedside table or a small room, not a party speaker for a garden. The volume is set with a physical knob, which feels natural on a retro design and is quicker than pressing small buttons. Green Lion also lists dual-speaker wireless sync, so two Gramo units can be paired to play together for a wider sound in a larger room. The maker does not publish a frequency response or a detailed sound profile for this model.
Bluetooth 5.3, TF card and USB
The Green Lion Gramo Vinyl Black connects to phones, tablets and laptops over Bluetooth 5.3, with a transmission range of up to 10 metres according to Green Lion. A TF card slot plays music stored on a microSD card with no phone involved, which is useful if you want the speaker playing in the background while your phone stays free. Green Lion also lists a USB port. A built-in microphone supports hands-free calling, so you can answer a call through the speaker while it sits on your desk. The maker does not list an AUX input.
Battery: about 7 to 8 hours at half volume
A 1200mAh battery powers the Green Lion Gramo Vinyl Black. Green Lion rates it at 7 to 8 hours at 50% volume; higher volume, a spinning disc and bright lighting will shorten that. Recharging takes 2 to 3 hours over USB-C at 5V/1A, so any phone charger or laptop port can top it up. For a desk speaker that is usually enough for a full working day, and for a bedroom it covers several evenings of background music before you plug it in again.
A suitcase design that folds away
The case is made from ABS and PC plastic and folds shut in a suitcase style, closing over the disc when you are not using it. That protects the top from dust, makes the speaker easy to carry to another room or a friend’s house, and turns it into a neat box on the shelf. Green Lion does not publish the dimensions or weight, but it is a compact tabletop speaker rather than a large unit. Folded, the Green Lion Gramo Vinyl Black also makes a good-looking gift box in itself.
Who This Is Not For
The Green Lion Gramo Vinyl Black does not play real vinyl records: the disc is decorative and spins for effect. With 4W of output it is not loud enough for outdoor parties. Green Lion does not list water resistance, an AUX input, frequency response, dimensions or weight. Battery life of about 7 to 8 hours at half volume is modest compared with plain portable speakers.
