The Mijia Smart Standing Fan Pro Slim rethinks what a standing fan should look like when it is not in use. Its head is only 8.7cm thick, it packs into the included EPP storage case at the end of summer, and it runs on a 12V USB-C supply, either from the bundled 18W adapter or from a power bank on the balcony or at a desert camp. Winner of both the 2025 iF Design Award and the 2025 Red Dot Design Award, it pairs that slim body with a DC inverter motor, seven aerofoil blades, a magnetic Bluetooth remote and eight natural-wind modes.

A Fan That Disappears When Summer Ends
Bulky fan heads are the reason most standing fans end up blocking a corner all year. Xiaomi measured the head of the Mijia Smart Standing Fan Pro Slim at 8.7cm thick against 23.9cm for the Mi Smart Standing Fan 2, a 63% reduction. The full Mijia Smart Standing Fan Pro Slim measures 310 × 337 × 1000mm and weighs 3.3kg, and it stands on a 3mm-thick metal base that keeps it steady and stops it sliding on tiles.
The modular build is the second half of the idea. The fan head, upper stand, lower stand and base separate in a few simple steps and slot into a high-strength EPP storage case that comes in the box. For flats in Dubai Marina or Al Reem, where storage space is tight, the Mijia Smart Standing Fan Pro Slim can live in a cupboard from November to March, and the same case fits in a car boot for a weekend trip.

USB-C Power and Power-Bank Cooling
Instead of a mains cord, the Mijia Smart Standing Fan Pro Slim takes 12V DC through a USB-C port. At home it runs from the included 18W power adapter. Away from a socket, the Mijia Smart Standing Fan Pro Slim accepts power banks with QC or PD fast-charge protocols that output at least 18W at 9V or 12V. With a 10,000mAh Mi Wireless Power Bank Essential, Xiaomi measured up to 22 hours of running time at level 1 without oscillation.
There is a catch worth knowing: if a power bank cannot supply the right voltage or enough wattage, the Mijia Smart Standing Fan Pro Slim may run with limits, for example only two Direct-mode levels and no Natural mode, or it may not start at all. Running costs at home are tiny. In Direct mode at level 1 without oscillation the measured draw is 1.9W, which Xiaomi works out as about 1.4 kWh for 8 hours a day over 90 days.

Eight Natural-Wind Modes and 100 Speeds on the Mijia Smart Standing Fan Pro Slim
Most “natural breeze” settings simply pulse the speed up and down. Xiaomi recorded long-term airflow data at real locations and turned it into eight variable-speed natural wind modes: Lakeside, Putting Green, Camping, Terrace, Rooftop, Wetland, Mountaintop and Beach. You pick them in the Xiaomi Home app, and you can also edit the wind speed and cycle of the curve to build your own pattern.
In Direct mode the app gives 100 speed levels; the four levels on the fan body equal app levels 1, 35, 70 and 100. Seven aerofoil blades in the Mijia Smart Standing Fan Pro Slim push up to 25 m³/min of air (CTI test report WS1-24-0009), with a manufacturer-tested reach of 14 metres and 90° left-right oscillation. At the quietest setting, in Direct mode without oscillation, measured working noise was 26.8 dB(A); the spec sheet lists a ceiling of ≤63 dB(A).
Remote, Touch Buttons and Smart Home
The Mijia Smart Standing Fan Pro Slim ships with a Bluetooth remote that clips magnetically to the fan so it does not get lost between sofa cushions. In open, unobstructed space it works up to 30 metres away, handy when the fan is out on a terrace. On the fan itself, touch buttons respond quickly, and a child lock keeps curious fingers from changing settings.
Wi-Fi (IEEE 802.11b/g/n, 2.4GHz) links the Mijia Smart Standing Fan Pro Slim to the Xiaomi Home app for schedules, wind curves and speed control, and compatible Alexa or Google Assistant speakers, bought separately, add voice commands. The front cover removes for cleaning, and the ABS housing resists corrosion, moisture and discolouration. Height adjusts for floor or table use.

Who This Is Not For
The Mijia Smart Standing Fan Pro Slim is not the strongest fan Xiaomi makes for big rooms. Its 90° oscillation is narrower than the 140° sweep of the Mi Smart Standing Fan 2, and its noise ceiling of ≤63 dB(A) at full power is higher, so a large majlis or a light sleeper who likes maximum speed may prefer a different model. Xiaomi does not publish the tilt range on the spec page.
The remote of the Mijia Smart Standing Fan Pro Slim needs a battery that is not included. Power-bank use depends on the bank supporting QC or PD at 9V or 12V and at least 18W, and cheap banks may limit features. You pay a premium for the slim design and storage case. Finally, this is the EU version: the 18W adapter has a European two-pin plug. Xiaomi does not publish the adapter’s input voltage range on the spec page; the EU adapter is designed for European mains, which share the 230V nominal supply used in the UAE, so on a UK-style socket you only need a plug adapter.

FAQ
Does the EU version work with UAE electricity?
Yes, with a plug adapter for UK-style sockets. The fan itself runs on 12V DC from its 18W USB-C adapter, which comes with a European two-pin plug for 230V mains. Xiaomi does not publish the adapter’s full input range on the spec page.
Can it run from a power bank?
Yes. The Mijia Smart Standing Fan Pro Slim needs a QC or PD power bank that delivers at least 18W at 9V or 12V. With a 10,000mAh bank Xiaomi measured up to 22 hours at level 1 without oscillation.
Is a battery included for the remote?
No. The Bluetooth remote is in the Mijia Smart Standing Fan Pro Slim box, but its battery is not.
How thin is it compared with the Mi Smart Standing Fan 2?
8.7cm is the head thickness, versus 23.9cm on the Mi Smart Standing Fan 2, which Xiaomi calls a 63% reduction.
Is “Mijia” a different product from “Xiaomi Smart Standing Fan Pro Slim”?
No. Xiaomi sells it in Europe and the UK under the name Mijia Smart Standing Fan Pro Slim, model BPLDS12DM; Mijia is Xiaomi’s smart-home sub-brand.
How loud is it?
26.8 dB(A) is the measured working noise at the lowest setting in Direct mode without oscillation. The spec sheet gives a maximum of ≤63 dB(A).
