The Jim Power Limited Edition PS4 disc is the strictly limited physical release of Jim Power: The Lost Dimension, a classic 1990s side-scrolling platform shooter brought back by developer QUByte Interactive and released in boxed form with Strictly Limited Games. On the PlayStation Store the game appears as QUByte Classics – Jim Power: The Lost Dimension Collection by PIKO, released on PS4 on 1 June 2022. Strictly Limited Games opened pre-orders for the boxed edition on 29 May 2022 as its release number 69. The genre is retro action: running, gunning, jetpack flying and shoot ’em up stages.

Special Agent Jim Power Against Vaprak
The story is classic 1990s action. The supernatural alien Vaprak plans to reach the fifth dimension through a dimensional vortex, and only special agent Jim Power can stop him. According to the PlayStation Store description, Vaprak’s forces are too strong for a direct assault, so Jim must slip past the defences and fight his way to the villain’s fortress. That simple setup drives a run through strange alien worlds filled with enemies, traps and large bosses. The appeal is not the plot but the atmosphere: colourful pixel art, parallax scrolling in the Mega Drive version, and a soundtrack by Chris Huelsbeck, the well-known composer behind many classic home computer and console games. For collectors, the limited physical edition preserves a cult title that many players remember from its original 16-bit era.
Run and Gun, Jetpack and Shoot ’em Up
Jim Power mixes three styles of play. Strictly Limited Games lists Run and Gun stages where you jump across platforms and shoot enemies, Jetpack stages where you fly freely through the level, and Shoot ’em Up stages in the style of classic side-scrolling shooters. The PlayStation Store highlights challenging platforming and shooting combat, different perspectives, varied enemies and weapon upgrades that make Jim stronger as you progress. The collection presents both 8-bit and 16-bit gameplay: Strictly Limited Games names a newly developed NES version and the Genesis / Mega Drive version, which it says was never officially released before. Display options include four screen filters, Sharp, Smooth, XBR and CRT, plus three screen types, Normal, Fit and Stretch, so you can choose a clean modern image or a classic television look.
Single Player, Offline and Options
Jim Power is a 1-player game, as listed on the PlayStation Store, and it works fully offline with no internet connection needed. There is no co-op, split-screen or online mode. You choose which version of the game to play and set your preferred screen filter and screen type. The PlayStation Store lists English as the screen language. The game carries a PEGI 7 rating for mild violence, so older children can play it, though the difficulty follows tough 1990s design.
Limited PAL Disc and PS5
You receive a new, factory-sealed PAL (R2) disc of the Strictly Limited Games edition of Jim Power: The Lost Dimension for PS4, the region used in Europe and the Middle East. PS4 games are region-free, so it plays on any PS4. The PlayStation Store notes the game may be playable on PS5 after a system update, though some PS4 features may be absent. Delivered across the UAE in up to 3 business days, free on orders from AED 300.
Who This Is Not For
This is a pure retro game with 8-bit and 16-bit graphics, so players who expect modern visuals will be disappointed. The difficulty is high in the style of the early 1990s, and the content is short compared with modern games. It is single-player only, with no co-op, and on-screen text is English only. Its value is mainly for collectors and retro fans.
