Why Titanium Gray
Titanium Gray gives the Galaxy Watch Ultra2 a darker, tool-watch look that sits well with black or olive straps, dive suits and outdoor gear. A dark finish hides small scuffs and trail dust better than Titanium Silver, which matters on a watch made to be knocked against rock or a boat rail. It also looks less flashy with a work shirt, so it doubles as an everyday watch. Silver suits people who want a brighter, jewellery-like finish; Gray suits those who want the watch to disappear into their kit.
Display, size and buttons
Samsung lists a 3.85cm (about 1.5-inch) Super AMOLED screen at 498 × 498. Its peak of 5,000 nits is a localised peak in strong ambient light, the brightest Samsung has put on a watch, and it keeps pace and heart rate readable in direct sun or underwater. The case is 47.4 × 47.1 × 10.7 mm and weighs 61.5 g. Three widely spaced buttons, including an orange Quick Button, are designed to work with gloves on; holding the Quick Button for five seconds starts an 86-decibel safety siren that Samsung says can be heard up to 180 metres away.
Water, dust and diving
The Galaxy Watch Ultra2 Titanium Gray is rated 10ATM, 100 metres to ISO 22810 (tested in salt and chlorinated water), IPX8 for 1.5 metres of fresh water for 30 minutes, IP69K and MIL-STD-810H. It is the first Galaxy Watch certified to EN13319, the standard for diving instruments, and its Depth app shows current depth, water temperature and dive time down to 40 metres. That makes it suitable for recreational scuba within that depth, not for technical or decompression diving.
Battery and charging
Samsung rates the 800mAh battery, 35% larger than the first Galaxy Watch Ultra, at up to 80 hours with the Always-On Display off and up to 60 hours with it on. LTE calls, GPS tracking and the siren use more power. This is the first Galaxy Watch with fast charging: Samsung quotes 40% in about 30 minutes in its lab, at room temperature in Airplane Mode, using the EP-OL715 wireless charger or a 5V/2A PD adapter. Real charging times vary with conditions.
Chip, LTE and health
Inside the Galaxy Watch Ultra2 Titanium Gray is a penta-core chip at 2.1GHz and 1.95GHz with 2GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, about 49.3GB of it available. It supports LTE through an eSIM, Wi-Fi on 2.4 and 5GHz, Bluetooth 6.0, NFC and dual-frequency GPS (L1+L5) with GLONASS, Beidou, Galileo and QZSS. Sensors include optical and electrical heart sensors, BIA for body composition and a temperature sensor. Features such as Energy Score, Daily Cardio Load and Fitness Index need an Android 13 phone and Samsung Health 7.0 or later. Samsung lists security updates until 31 July 2031.
Who This Is Not For
The Galaxy Watch Ultra2 Titanium Gray is not for iPhone users, since its health features need an Android 13 phone with Samsung Health. At 61.5 g and 10.7 mm thick it is heavy and tall on a small wrist. Its dive rating stops at 40 metres. It is an imported international unit, so it is not serviced by the UAE agent, and LTE works only if your operator supports a watch eSIM for it.
