The Victrix Pro BFG Wireless Controller is a modular, officially licensed PlayStation controller from Victrix, the PDP brand now owned by Turtle Beach, shown here in black. This Victrix Pro BFG Wireless Controller works with PS5, PS4 and PC through its USB wireless dongle or a 3 m USB-C cable, and lets you swap the left stick and D-pad layout and the face-button module, including a 6-button fightpad module for fighting games. It adds four back buttons, adjustable clutch triggers with a hair-trigger mode and a 3.5 mm headset jack. It does not use Bluetooth.

PS5, PS4 and PC: How the Victrix Pro BFG Wireless Controller Connects
This is the PlayStation version: the box and Turtle Beach’s specification list PS5, PS4 and PC. It connects wirelessly through the included USB-A mini dongle, which uses Victrix’s 2.4 GHz transceiver, or through the 3 m braided USB-C cable. Turtle Beach’s specification does not list Bluetooth, so the dongle has to stay plugged into the console or PC, and phones or tablets are not a supported use.
Victrix also sells an Xbox version of the Pro BFG for Xbox consoles and PC. That is a different controller and does not work on PlayStation; the Victrix Pro BFG Wireless Controller on this page is the PlayStation model with the PS button and touchpad.
Swappable Modules
The modular layout is the headline feature. The left side takes a reversible module that puts either the stick or the D-pad on top, so you can choose a PlayStation-style symmetric layout or an offset layout like an Xbox pad. The right side swaps between the standard button-and-stick module and a 6-button fightpad module that places six face buttons under your thumb for fighting games.
Turtle Beach also includes four stick caps (two standard concave, one short convex and one tall Sniper Stick) and four stick gates, two circular and two octagonal. Octagonal gates give clear notches for eight-way inputs, which fighting-game players often prefer.
Back Buttons and Clutch Triggers
Four mappable back buttons sit under your middle fingers, so you can jump, reload or crouch without taking a thumb off the sticks. The triggers on the Victrix Pro BFG Wireless Controller are Victrix’s Clutch Triggers: adjustable, with a patented hair-trigger mode and sliders that set the travel distance, from a long pull for racing games to a short click for shooters.
Battery, Audio and Software
Turtle Beach lists a 2000 mAh battery with up to 20 hours of life, depending on the usage profile. There is a 3.5 mm 4-pole headset jack, and PS5 console 3D Audio works through it. On PC, the Victrix Control Hub app handles button mapping, stick and trigger settings and profiles for the Victrix Pro BFG Wireless Controller.
What It Does Not Do on PS5
This controller is not a DualSense. Turtle Beach’s specification does not list adaptive triggers, DualSense-style haptic feedback or motion sensors, so PS5 games that use those features will play without them. The touchpad is the PS5 standard one.
Size, Weight and What Comes With It
Turtle Beach lists the controller at 16 x 10.5 x 6 cm and 298 g. Along with the controller and dongle, the box holds the extra modules, stick caps and gates, the 3 m braided USB-C cable, a carrying case and a swap tool for changing the modules, so the Victrix Pro BFG Wireless Controller travels to a tournament with all its parts in one place.
Who This Is Not For
Xbox owners: they need the separate Xbox version. Players who want DualSense haptics and adaptive triggers in PS5 games that support them. Anyone who needs Bluetooth for a phone, a tablet or another device without a free USB port for the dongle. And players who specifically want Hall-effect sticks, which Turtle Beach introduced with the later Pro BFG Reloaded rather than this model.
