Description

The Xiaomi Robot Vacuum E12 is the entry point to Xiaomi’s robot vacuum range: a round, 8 cm tall robot that vacuums and mops in the same pass, with suction of up to 4000 Pa and up to 110 minutes on a full charge in standard mode. Xiaomi’s model number for it is B112. It navigates with a gyroscope and a set of sensors rather than a laser turret, and that single design choice explains both its lower price and the kind of home it suits best.

What the Xiaomi Robot Vacuum E12 Is

The Xiaomi Robot Vacuum E12 is a vacuum and mop robot that returns to a small charging dock. There is no self-emptying station and no mop washing station here: the dock charges the robot, and you empty the bin and refill the water yourself. That keeps the footprint small, since Xiaomi lists the dock at 146 x 122 x 87.5 mm, and it keeps the price in the entry bracket.

The robot body measures 325 mm across and 80 mm tall, and Xiaomi lists the net weight at 3.2 kg. It connects to the Xiaomi Home app over 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi, and the app is where you set schedules, pick a suction level and watch the clean in real time. The robot also speaks: Xiaomi lists voice prompts for six situations, including starting a clean, pausing, resuming and heading back to charge.

4000 Pa Suction and Four Power Levels

Xiaomi rates the Xiaomi Robot Vacuum E12 at up to 4000 Pa, measured with a vacuum gauge on the fan through the dust container and air duct. That is a maximum figure at the highest of the four suction levels, not what the robot pulls on its quietest setting, and it is the number to compare with other robots only when the test method is similar.

Four levels on the Xiaomi Robot Vacuum E12 give you room to trade noise and battery against cleaning force. The lower levels suit a daily pass over tiles and marble, where the dirt is mostly fine dust and sand carried in from outside. The top level is for the rug in the majlis or a room that has not been cleaned for a few days, and it will shorten the run time.

Gyroscope Navigation and the Zigzag Route

This is the part to understand before buying. The Xiaomi Robot Vacuum E12 has no LDS laser distance sensor. Xiaomi’s sensor list for it is a gyroscope, three wall sensors, two anti-collision sensors, three cliff sensors that stop it from falling down steps, three receivers for finding the dock, and sensors that check the wheels, the mop cloth and the tank.

With that hardware the robot cleans in a planned zigzag pattern, back and forth in rows, which Xiaomi describes as more efficient than random cleaning. What Xiaomi does not list for the E12 are the features that normally depend on a laser map: saved multi-room maps, naming rooms, or drawing no-go zones in the app. If you need those, the Xiaomi Robot Vacuum S20 and S40C use LDS laser navigation and cost more for that reason.

Mopping: One Tank for Dust and Water

The Xiaomi Robot Vacuum E12 uses a 2-in-1 container: one side holds the dust, the other holds water for the mop, and the whole unit clips out of the robot as one piece. A mop frame with a cloth attaches underneath, and the water flow has three levels so you can run it lighter on wood-effect flooring and heavier on porcelain tiles.

Xiaomi does not publish the capacity of the dust side or the water side on its specification page, so we will not quote one. Treat the Xiaomi Robot Vacuum E12 mopping as a daily wipe that picks up footprints and light dust after the vacuum has passed, not as a scrub for dried stains. The mop is a static cloth that is dragged across the floor; it does not rotate or lift.

Battery, 8 cm Height and the Charging Dock

Xiaomi quotes up to 110 minutes on a full charge in standard mode with vacuuming and mopping, measured until the robot shuts down. The Xiaomi Robot Vacuum E12 battery is 2600 mAh nominal (2500 mAh rated). Higher suction levels will bring that figure down, and a large villa floor may need a recharge part way through.

At 80 mm tall, the Xiaomi Robot Vacuum E12 slides under many beds, sofas and low cabinets where dust collects undisturbed. Measure the gap under your own furniture first; anything lower than about 8 cm will stop it.

Xiaomi’s user guide rates the power adapter at 100 to 240 V, 50/60 Hz, which covers UAE mains, and it feeds the dock at 20 V. Xiaomi asks you to keep 0.5 m clear on each side of the dock and 1.5 m clear in front of it so the robot can find its way home.

Who This Is Not For

Not for a large multi-room villa where you want to send the robot to one named room. Without a laser map, the Xiaomi Robot Vacuum E12 cannot offer room selection or no-go zones in the way the S-series can.

Not for anyone who wants hands-off emptying. The Xiaomi Robot Vacuum E12 has no auto-empty station, so the bin has to be emptied by hand after most runs, more often in homes with pets or sand at the door.

Not for deep mopping. The Xiaomi Robot Vacuum E12 drags a cloth, and a cloth with three water levels keeps floors fresh but does not replace a proper mop on sticky kitchen spills.

Not for homes with thresholds or thick rugs as the main flooring. Xiaomi does not publish a climbing height for the E12, so we cannot promise it will clear a raised door strip.

Buying the Xiaomi Robot Vacuum E12 in the UAE

The Xiaomi Robot Vacuum E12 makes most sense in an apartment or a compact townhouse with an open layout and hard floors, where a daily zigzag vacuum and wipe keeps dust and sand under control between proper cleans. In that setting it does the work of a more expensive robot for less money.

The unit is sold with a 1-year warranty from Totot against manufacturing defects. We deliver across the UAE in up to 3 business days, free on orders from AED 300. If the robot arrives defective or does not match this description, you can return it within 14 days, and any damage from transit should be reported to us within 48 hours of delivery.

FAQ

Does the Xiaomi Robot Vacuum E12 have laser navigation?

No. Xiaomi lists a gyroscope and a set of wall, cliff and collision sensors, and the robot cleans in a zigzag pattern. For LDS laser mapping, look at the Xiaomi Robot Vacuum S20 or S40C.

How strong is the suction?

4000 Pa at most, at the highest of four suction levels, as measured by Xiaomi with a vacuum gauge. Lower levels are quieter and last longer on a charge.

How long does the battery last?

110 minutes at most on a full charge in standard mode with vacuuming and mopping, per Xiaomi. Higher suction shortens it.

Can it mop and vacuum at the same time?

Yes. The 2-in-1 container holds dust on one side and water on the other, and the mop cloth is dragged behind the brushes in the same pass, with three water flow levels.

Does it empty itself?

No. The Xiaomi Robot Vacuum E12 comes with a charging dock only. You empty the dust side and refill the water side by hand.

Will it fit under my sofa?

Yes, if the gap is more than 80 mm, because that is the robot’s height according to Xiaomi. Measure the clearance first.

Does it work on UAE power?

Yes. The power adapter is rated 100 to 240 V at 50/60 Hz, so it runs on UAE mains.

What warranty do I get?

1 year from Totot against manufacturing defects, with returns within 14 days for a defective or non-matching item.
