The Lenovo Idea Tab TB336ZU 5G is the cellular (WWAN) version of Lenovo’s 11-inch Idea Tab. It takes a nano-SIM, so it stays online on a mobile data plan when there is no Wi-Fi around. This unit is the 4GB RAM and 128GB storage configuration in Luna Grey, supplied with the Lenovo Tab Pen and a folio case. Lenovo builds it around an 11-inch 2.5K (2560 x 1600) screen at 90Hz, the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chip, a 7040mAh battery and four speakers tuned for Dolby Atmos, all in a metal body rated IP52 for dust and light splashes.

What the 5G in the Lenovo Idea Tab TB336ZU 5G gives you
Lenovo sells the Idea Tab as TB336FU (Wi-Fi only) and TB336ZU (WWAN). The Lenovo Idea Tab TB336ZU 5G has a combined nano-SIM and microSD tray and supports 5G Sub-6 GHz, so a student can pull lecture files in a taxi and a sales rep can open a catalogue at a client’s office without asking for the Wi-Fi password. Lenovo’s PSREF sheet lists NR Sub-6 bands n1, n2, n3, n5, n7, n8, n20, n26, n28, n38, n40, n41, n66, n71, n77 and n78, with FDD LTE, TDD LTE B38/40/41, UMTS and GSM as fallbacks. On voice calls, Lenovo’s sheet lists them as an option that varies by configuration and notes that voice use requires a cellular plan and depends on the operator, so treat the tablet first as a data device and confirm calling with your operator.
The 11-inch 2.5K screen at 90Hz
The display is an 11-inch IPS multitouch panel at 2560 x 1600, which Lenovo rates at 274 ppi, 500 nits, 1500:1 contrast and 72% of the NTSC colour range, refreshing at 90Hz so scrolling through notes and web pages looks smoother than on a 60Hz tablet. The 16:10 shape suits split-screen work, with a PDF on one side and a notes app on the other. At 500 nits the Lenovo Idea Tab TB336ZU 5G is bright enough for a classroom or an office, though not for comfortable reading in direct midday sun.
Studying and note-taking with the Tab Pen and folio case
This unit comes with two items Lenovo otherwise treats as optional: the Lenovo Tab Pen and a folio case. Lenovo specifies the Tab Pen with 4096 levels of pressure sensitivity, tilt detection and palm rejection, so you can rest your hand on the glass while writing. With it the Lenovo Idea Tab TB336ZU 5G becomes a notebook for lecture notes, marking up PDFs and quick sketches. The folio case protects the screen in a bag and folds into a stand for video lessons. Lenovo also lists a Folio Keyboard for the Idea Tab, which is not part of this bundle; add one if you type long essays.
Performance: Dimensity 6300, 4GB RAM, 128GB storage
Inside is the MediaTek Dimensity 6300, an eight-core chip with two Arm A76 cores at up to 2.4 GHz and six A55 cores at up to 2.0 GHz, paired with an Arm Mali-G57 MC2 GPU. That is comfortable for browsing, video calls, streaming, office apps and light games. This configuration has 4GB of LPDDR4X memory, soldered and not upgradable, and 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage. A microSD card of up to 2TB (exFAT) can be added for films and offline files. The Lenovo Idea Tab TB336ZU 5G runs Android 15 or later.
Battery, charging, cameras and sound
Lenovo fits a 7040mAh battery and quotes up to 12 hours of YouTube streaming or 14 hours of Chrome browsing, measured in its own lab, so real use with 5G switched on will be shorter. Charging is over USB-C; Lenovo lists a 20W (10V/2A) adapter, while noting that some configurations ship without one. There is a 5MP fixed-focus front camera with face unlock and an 8MP autofocus rear camera for scanning documents. Four speakers tuned for Dolby Atmos sit around the frame, next to a 3.5mm combo jack. Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.2 and GPS complete the connections, and the metal body weighs 480 g ± 10 g at 6.99 mm thick.
Who This Is Not For
With 4GB of RAM, keeping many heavy apps open together or editing long videos will feel slow; Lenovo also offers 6GB and 8GB versions for that. The Dimensity 6300 is a mid-range chip, so demanding 3D games run at reduced settings. IP52 covers dust and light splashes only, not immersion. Wi-Fi is Wi-Fi 5, not Wi-Fi 6. And because voice calling depends on configuration and operator, the tablet is not a phone replacement.
