The Huawei Watch GT 6 41mm Gold is the smaller GT 6 in its dressiest form: a 41 mm stainless steel case on a gold Milanese strap. The case measures 41.3 × 41.3 × 9.99 mm and weighs about 37.5 g without the strap, and the 1.32-inch AMOLED screen runs at 466 × 466 pixels. Huawei rates the battery at up to 14 days in light use and up to 7 days in typical use, and the watch adds dual-band GPS, NFC, a speaker and microphone, 5 ATM and IP69.

Gold Milanese: who this version suits
The gold Milanese strap is a fine metal mesh rather than rubber, so the Huawei Watch GT 6 41mm Gold reads as jewellery as much as a fitness tracker. It suits office wear, evenings out and anyone who wants one watch that does not look sporty with formal clothes. Huawei lists the gold strap for wrists of 130 to 190 mm. Huawei sells the 41mm with several straps, including black and lilac fluoroelastomer and white and brown composite leather, and the gold Milanese version appears on Huawei’s UK specification page. For heavy gym use or swimming, a rubber strap is the easier choice to rinse and dry, so some owners keep a second strap for training.
41mm vs 46mm: what changes
Huawei sells the GT 6 in two sizes that differ in more than the case. The 41mm has a 1.32-inch screen against 1.47 inches, weighs about 37.5 g against 51.3 g, and is 9.99 mm thick against 10.95 mm. Battery life is shorter in every mode: up to 14 days light use, up to 7 days typical, up to 5 days with always-on display and up to 25 hours in outdoor sport mode for the 41mm, against 21 days, 12 days, 7 days and 40 hours on the 46mm. On the Huawei Watch GT 6 41mm Gold, the smaller case sits better on slim wrists and slides under a shirt cuff.
Display and build
The Huawei Watch GT 6 41mm Gold uses a 1.32-inch AMOLED at 466 × 466 pixels and 352 PPI, with a rotating crown and a side button. The case is stainless steel. Huawei publishes a 3000-nit peak brightness figure on the GT 6 product page, but its footnotes tie that figure to the 46mm model, and Huawei does not state a brightness figure for the 41mm. Charging is wireless on the supplied cradle, with a charger requirement of 5V to 10V DC at 2A maximum, and Huawei does not publish a charge time.
Health tracking and limits
For the Huawei Watch GT 6 41mm Gold, Huawei lists heart rate, SpO2, stress, HRV, sleep and women’s health tracking, and arrhythmia alerts for potential atrial fibrillation and premature beats based on the PPG sensor. The sensor list is accelerometer, gyroscope, magnetometer, optical heart rate, barometer, temperature and ambient light, with no ECG. Huawei says the watch is not a medical device, the arrhythmia feature is not for users under 18, and health data is for reference only. Emotional wellbeing readings are limited to some regions and do not work with 32-bit Android phones.
GPS, calls and water
Positioning covers GPS (L1 + L5), GLONASS, BeiDou, Galileo, QZSS and NavIC, which helps tracks stay accurate between tall buildings. Huawei’s 20% accuracy gain for its Sunflower system is measured on the 46mm against the GT 5 46mm. The Huawei Watch GT 6 41mm Gold has a speaker and microphone for Bluetooth calls, NFC, and Bluetooth 6.0, and works with Android 9.0 or later and iOS 13.0 or later through the HUAWEI Health app. It is rated 5 ATM and IP69, for pool swimming but not diving, hot showers or saunas, and a metal mesh strap is better kept out of salt water.
Who This Is Not For
The Huawei Watch GT 6 41mm Gold is not for anyone who needs ECG, which is not in the GT 6 sensor list. It is not the best pick for wrists above 190 mm, where the 46mm fits better and lasts longer. If you want two weeks of battery with always-on display, the figure drops to up to 5 days. Huawei runs its own platform, so third-party apps are narrower than on Wear OS or Apple Watch. The Milanese mesh is less practical than rubber for daily gym sessions.
