The Samsung Galaxy Buds4 Pro are Samsung’s flagship earbuds for this generation: a 2-way speaker with a wider woofer and a separate tweeter, each on its own amplifier, adaptive active noise cancellation, six microphones and IP57 earbuds. With ANC on, Samsung rates them at up to 6 hours per charge and up to 26 hours with the case. This listing is the Black colour.

How the Galaxy Buds4 Pro Produce Sound
Samsung uses a 2-way speaker system in the Galaxy Buds4 Pro: a woofer with a diaphragm Samsung says is 19.8% larger than on the Buds3 Pro, and a precision tweeter for the top end. Each driver has its own dedicated amplifier. The point of splitting the work is that a bass driver no longer has to move fast enough for treble, so neither end is compromised.
Adaptive EQ adjusts the sound to your ear shape and how the buds sit, and a 9-band equaliser is available in the app. Samsung says the 2-way design is tuned to keep that detail when ANC is running.
Noise Cancelling and Ambient Modes
Active noise cancellation uses an adaptive algorithm, and Adaptive Noise Control can switch between ANC and ambient sound in real time. Voice Detect moves to ambient sound when you start speaking, and Siren Detect lets emergency sirens through. Samsung notes that Adaptive Noise Control is off by default, so turn it on if you want it.
Each earbud has three microphones, six in total, with DNN-based voice isolation for calls. On supported Galaxy phones, Super Wideband calling carries voice up to 16 kHz.
Battery: The Figures With Their Conditions
Samsung publishes separate numbers for ANC on and off. With ANC on: up to 6 hours of music from the Galaxy Buds4 Pro, up to 26 hours with the case, and up to 4.5 hours of talk time (20 hours with the case). With ANC off: up to 7 hours of music, up to 30 hours with the case, and up to 5 hours of talk (22 hours with the case).
Each earbud has a 61 mAh battery and the case 530 mAh. Samsung adds that real battery life depends on usage, settings, charge cycles and Bluetooth signal strength. The case charges wirelessly, but there is no USB-C cable in the box and the wireless pad is sold separately.
What Needs a Galaxy Phone
The Galaxy Buds4 Pro work as Bluetooth earbuds with any phone, but a lot of the feature list depends on Samsung hardware. 24-bit/96 kHz SSC-UHQ audio needs a supported Galaxy phone or tablet (Samsung lists the Galaxy S23 series and later, Z Fold5/Flip5 and later, and Tab S9 and later). 360 Audio with head tracking and Auto Switch between devices are Galaxy-only. Interpreter and Live Translate need a compatible Galaxy device with Galaxy AI.
On other Android phones, the Galaxy Wearable app requires Android 12.0 or later with at least 1.5 GB of memory. On an iPhone, the buds connect for audio but cannot be controlled through the phone, because Samsung does not offer the Galaxy Wearable app for iOS.
Controls, Fit and Build
Controls use pinch and swipe gestures on the stem; a single pinch plays or pauses and answers or ends calls, and a swipe changes volume. Head gestures — nod to answer, shake to decline — are available but off by default.
Each earbud measures 30.9 × 18.1 × 19.6 mm and weighs 5.1 g; the case weighs 44.3 g. Three sizes of silicone ear tips (S, M, L) are in the box, and Samsung includes a fit test in settings. The earbuds are IP57, tested in up to 1 m of fresh water for up to 30 minutes.
Connectivity
The Galaxy Buds4 Pro use Bluetooth 6.1 with LE Audio and the LC3 codec, and they are Auracast compatible for broadcast audio. Supported codecs are SSC, AAC and SBC. The buds also work with Samsung Find if you misplace them.
Who This Is Not For
If you use an iPhone, the Galaxy Buds4 Pro lose most of what you pay for: no app control, no 360 Audio, no 24-bit mode. Samsung advises against using them at the beach or in the pool even with IP57, and the charging case is not water resistant. You will need your own USB-C cable or wireless charger. And Hi-Fi 24-bit playback only applies with the Galaxy devices Samsung lists.
