The Govee Glide Wall Light is a set of straight RGBIC light bars that you join end to end to draw lines, zigzags and frames on a wall, model H6062. What Comes With the Govee Glide Wall Light
Govee’s H6062 manual lists the contents as light segments, a corner piece, a control box, an adapter, a quick start guide, a user manual and a service card. The 6+1 layout gives six straight bars and one corner, which is enough for a single V or zigzag above a desk or TV, or an open frame around a poster. Because there is only one corner, closed shapes such as a full rectangle are not possible with this kit alone.
The control box carries the microphone used by the music modes, and the manual asks for the mic to face upward during use. Place the control box where it can hear the room rather than behind the TV, or the Govee Glide Wall Light will react weakly to sound.
Power: 100-240 V Adapter, 12 V Bars
In the specifications of Govee’s manual, the Govee Glide Wall Light adapter input is AC 100-240 V and the lamp input is 12 V at 3 A. The UAE’s 220-240 V mains is inside that range, so no transformer is needed. Only the adapter touches mains power; the bars run on low-voltage DC.
The manual adds two points worth knowing. The light source inside each bar cannot be replaced, so a failed segment means replacing the segment. And the bars must not be installed with a dimming driver: brightness is controlled from the app, not from a wall dimmer.

RGBIC Effects and the Govee Home App
RGBIC means the LEDs inside each bar are split into independently controlled zones, which is why a Govee Glide Wall Light line can fade from blue to pink along its length. Colours, scenes, DIY effects, music modes and timers are all set in the Govee Home app. Govee’s product images advertise more than 40 scenes, such as Party, Ocean, Aurora and Valentine’s.
The app connects over 2.4GHz Wi-Fi on the 802.11 b/g/n bands; Govee states that 5GHz is not supported. In the app you search for H6062 to add the device, then follow the pairing steps on screen.
Voice Control, and Why Not Matter
Govee lists app and voice control for the Govee Glide Wall Light. Voice works through Alexa and Google Assistant after you link the Govee account, which is enough for on, off, brightness and colour. Scene building and music effects stay in the Govee Home app.
The Govee Glide Wall Light is not on Govee’s Matter device list, so it will not appear in Apple Home or join a Matter controller directly. If Matter is a requirement, look at a newer Govee wall light that lists it.
Mounting on a UAE Wall
Lay out the Govee Glide Wall Light shape on the floor first and check that the control box and adapter cable reach a socket. Govee rates the operating temperature at -10 to 40 degrees Celsius and states the wall light is not waterproof, so avoid bathrooms and walls that take direct afternoon sun through glass. The manual also warns against placing the lights near heat sources, candles or liquid-filled objects.
Clean the wall before fixing anything, since dust weakens adhesion. On painted plaster, the usual finish in UAE apartments, removing adhesive-mounted fittings can lift paint, which matters in a rented apartment.
Who This Is Not For
The Govee Glide Wall Light is not for anyone who needs Matter or native Apple Home control. Anyone with a 5GHz-only router. Anyone who wants to build a closed shape: the 6+1 kit has only one corner piece.
Govee no longer lists the standard H6062 kit on its US store at the time of writing, so spare bars and corners may not be easy to find later; treat the seven pieces in the box as the complete set. Govee also does not publish brightness or wattage figures for the Govee Glide Wall Light, so none are quoted here.
