The CMF Headphone Pro Light Grey is the pale, silver-toned version of CMF by Nothing’s over-ear headphones. Rather than repeat the travel story, this page looks at it as a work headset: five microphones with a three-mic ENC setup for calls, dual connection so it can stay linked to a laptop and a phone, Microsoft Swift Pair for Windows, and a talk time Nothing rates at up to 50 hours with ANC off.

A Light Grey That Suits the Desk
The light grey finish is a soft, cool grey on the headband, earcups and cushions, with white earcup caps and metal sliders. Next to a silver laptop, a white keyboard or a light meeting room, the CMF Headphone Pro Light Grey blends in rather than standing out, which is what many people want from headphones they wear in front of colleagues all day.
It is also the calmest of the three colours on video calls. Where black can look heavy on a webcam and green draws attention, the CMF Headphone Pro Light Grey reads as neutral and tidy, so the conversation stays on you rather than on the headset.
Calls: Five Microphones and Three-Mic ENC
Nothing lists five microphones in total on the CMF Headphone Pro Light Grey. Three of them form the ENC (environmental noise cancellation) array for calls, which focuses on your voice and reduces the sound around you, and a wind noise mesh helps when you take a call outdoors or next to an air conditioning vent. For an open-plan office, a co-working space or a call from the car park, that is the feature that matters most.
Talk time is rated at up to 50 hours with ANC off and up to 35 hours with ANC on, so the CMF Headphone Pro Light Grey can go through a full working week of meetings between charges. Transparency Mode lets you hear a colleague at your desk without taking the headphones off.
Laptop and Phone at the Same Time
Bluetooth 5.4 dual connection keeps the CMF Headphone Pro Light Grey linked to two devices at once. Nothing’s app describes the practical use: when a call comes in on your phone while you are listening on your laptop, the headphones switch to the call automatically. Microsoft Swift Pair makes the first pairing with a Windows laptop a one-click pop-up, and Google Fast Pair does the same on Android phones.
The low lag mode in the Nothing X app reduces delay between picture and sound, which helps keep lips in sync on video calls and screen recordings. Nothing lists iOS 13 and Android 5.1 or later as supported, so the CMF Headphone Pro Light Grey works with almost any phone in the office.
Physical Controls You Can Use Without Looking
Instead of touch panels, the CMF Headphone Pro Light Grey has physical controls on the right earcup. A roller changes volume, a press pauses or plays, and a long press switches noise modes. The energy slider tunes bass or treble in real time, and a customisable button can be set to your phone’s assistant. Buttons like these are easier to use than swipes when you are typing with the other hand, and they do not trigger by accident when you adjust the headphones.
Nothing tested the hardware for everyday use: 6,000 hinge cycles, 5,000 headband slides, 10,000 button presses and 20,000 roller cycles, plus temperature and humidity tests.
Keeping Light Grey Cushions Clean
Light grey shows skin oil, makeup and dark marks from hair products more than dark grey does, especially on the cushions after long days. The good news is that the ear cushions twist on and off, which makes them easy to wipe or replace. Nothing sells spare CMF Headphone Pro ear cushions separately, so a worn pair does not mean replacing the whole headset. Wipe the headband with a dry microfibre cloth and keep the CMF Headphone Pro Light Grey in its pouch when it goes into a bag.
Who This Is Not For
Nothing does not list a USB-C charging cable in the box, and there is no USB dongle for the laptop, so this is a Bluetooth headset rather than a certified Teams or Zoom headset with a receiver. At 283 g it is heavier than a simple office headset, and the over-ear cushions can feel warm in a hot room.
If you want a pair that never shows marks, choose dark grey over the CMF Headphone Pro Light Grey. Some button functions, such as ChatGPT access and Essential Space voice notes, work only on Nothing OS phones. Water resistance is IPX2, enough for a light drip but not for rain.
