Why Choose the Scarlet Violet Elite Trainer Box Miraidon
Both box arts share one contents list, so the real choice is the Pokémon on the lid. Miraidon is the sleek, motorcycle-like Legendary that carries the player through Pokémon Violet, and this box uses it everywhere that matters: the purple lid, every one of the 65 sleeves and the full-art foil promo card.
That makes this the version to buy for a Violet player, for anyone collecting Miraidon cards, or as the second half of a matched pair next to the red Koraidon box.
Miraidon Promo and Sleeve Artwork
The guaranteed promo in this box is a full-art foil card featuring Miraidon. Full-art means the illustration runs across the whole card face, and foil gives it the shine collectors look for, so it is the one guaranteed showpiece in an otherwise random set of pulls.
The sleeves repeat the Miraidon design. Sixty-five sleeves cover a 60-card tournament deck with five spares, which is handy because sleeves wear out with heavy shuffling.
Opening the Nine Packs in the Scarlet Violet Elite Trainer Box Miraidon
Each booster pack is a Pokémon TCG: Scarlet & Violet pack, the set that returned Pokémon ex to the game and debuted Tera Pokémon ex. Miraidon ex is part of this expansion, as are Koraidon ex and the three Paldea starters, Sprigatito, Fuecoco and Quaxly.
Nine packs is enough to start a binder or to find the core of a first deck, but it is not a way to complete the set. Think of the packs as the fun part and the promo, sleeves and box as the guaranteed part.
Building a Lightning Deck Around Miraidon
In the card game Miraidon is a Lightning-type Pokémon, so this box sits naturally with players who like fast Lightning decks. The 45 Energy cards in the box cover the Basic Energy side of a deck, and you fill the rest with Pokémon and Trainer cards from your packs or your collection.
The play kit is tournament-friendly: a competition-legal coin-flip die, 6 damage-counter dice and 2 plastic condition markers. New players also get a player’s guide to the Scarlet & Violet expansion and a code card for Pokémon TCG Live, the digital version of the card game.
Storage That Outlasts the Packs
Once the packs are open, the Scarlet Violet Elite Trainer Box Miraidon keeps working as a storage box. The collector’s box includes 4 dividers, so you can split Pokémon, Trainers, Energy and your Miraidon promo, and the purple lid looks good on a shelf next to other Elite Trainer Boxes from the series.
Keeping it sealed is the other option: an unopened box with the Miraidon art is a popular display piece for Violet fans.
Who This Is Not For
Anyone hoping for a guaranteed rare should know that booster pack contents are random and no specific card is promised, so singles are better value for one target card. The product holds trading cards only; it is not the Pokémon Violet video game. Text on every card and in the guide is English, not Arabic. It is labelled for ages 6+ with small parts, and it is not for children under 3.
If you were after the bigger Pokémon Center Elite Trainer Box, that is a separate exclusive with more packs; this is the regular retail box. And if the red Scarlet look suits you better, choose the Koraidon version.
