The Honor Watch 4 Pro is a round smartwatch that looks like a traditional dress watch: a 46.4 mm stainless steel case, a rotating crown and a choice of leather or fluoroelastomer straps. The Honor Watch 4 Pro adds a 1.5-inch LTPO AMOLED screen, Bluetooth calling, NFC and up to 14 days of battery life in Honor’s own test scenario, and it works with both Android phones and iPhones, with some limits on iPhone.

Honor Watch 4 Pro Design: Stainless Steel, Two Finishes

Honor forges the case from stainless steel and polishes it to a mirror-like surface, with a frosted texture along both sides of the middle frame. The back cover is a polymer fibre composite. The case is 46.4 mm across and 11.4 mm thick at its thinnest point (Honor measures this without the sensor bump), and the watch weighs about 50 g without the strap.

Honor sells two finishes. Dark Green has a gold-plated top on the middle frame, which Honor says contains about 85% gold and 15% copper, and a double-stitched leather strap. Black is the sportier option. The strap fits wrists from 140 to 210 mm.

A 1.5-inch LTPO AMOLED Display

The screen is a 1.5-inch AMOLED panel at 464 x 464 pixels (310 PPI), surrounded by 1.9 mm bezels for an 82.6% screen-to-body ratio. Because it is an LTPO panel, the watch can keep a standby face visible so you can check the time and key notifications without raising your wrist.

Honor turns the standby display off by default; you switch it on under Settings, Watch face and home, Standby Display. Honor does not publish a brightness figure in nits for the Honor Watch 4 Pro.

Honor Watch 4 Pro Battery: 14 Days, With Conditions

Honor quotes up to 14 days, but only in its ultra-long battery life scenario: paired with an HONOR phone, smart heart rate and sleep monitoring on, 30 minutes of Bluetooth calls and 30 minutes of music per week, about 90 minutes of GPS workouts per week, 50 messages, 6 calls and 3 alarms a day, and the screen turned on 200 times a day. With the always-on standby display active, Honor’s figure drops to 7 days. Honor does not publish the battery capacity in mAh.

Charging is wireless. Honor says 10 minutes of charging gives a whole day of use, but only with a 9V/2A HONOR fast-charging adapter and the matching wireless base; the adapter is not in Honor’s packing list. Some Honor phones can also charge the watch through reverse wireless charging.

Bluetooth Calls and Phone Compatibility

Built-in speaker and microphone let you answer and make calls from the wrist while your phone is connected by Bluetooth 5.2. Honor’s UAE specification lists Bluetooth calling only, with no eSIM or LTE, so calls need the phone within Bluetooth range. NFC is listed as supported.

The Honor Watch 4 Pro works with Android 9.0 or later and iOS 12.0 or later through the HONOR Health app. On an iPhone, Honor notes that paid watch faces cannot be downloaded, and the two-way Find My Device feature between phone and watch works only while they are connected over Bluetooth.

Health and Sports Tracking on the Honor Watch 4 Pro

An upgraded 8-channel optical heart rate sensor, which Honor says lets in 50% more light than the HONOR Watch GS 3, tracks heart rate, blood oxygen saturation, stress and sleep. Honor states the watch is not a medical device and that its readings are for reference only, not for diagnosis or treatment.

There are more than 100 sports modes, including 85 custom modes and over 10 professional modes. Positioning uses GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, BeiDou and QZSS. Honor’s Physical Age estimate and its high-efficiency calorie-burning readout work in outdoor running mode only.

Water Resistance: What 5ATM Allows

The Honor Watch 4 Pro is rated 5ATM (50 metres) under ISO 22810:2010. Honor says that suits pool and shallow sea swimming, but not diving, hot showers, saunas, hot springs or activities with fast-moving water. It carries no IP68 rating in Honor’s specification, so treat it as swim-proof, not dive-proof.

Who the Honor Watch 4 Pro Is Not For

Anyone who wants to leave the phone at home and still take calls: there is no eSIM in Honor’s UAE specification. Buyers who need ECG or skin temperature readings: Honor’s sensor list has neither. People with small wrists: the 46.4 mm case and roughly 50 g weight are large for wrists near 140 mm. And iPhone owners who want paid watch faces, which Honor does not offer on iOS.
