The Dyson Supersonic Nural Ceramic Pink is Dyson’s HD16 hair dryer with built-in sensors, finished in a soft Ceramic pink with Rose gold details. This is the Straight+Wavy edition, so the box holds five magnetic attachments chosen for straight and loosely wavy hair. The unit is the UK-market version, rated at 220–240 V and 1,600 W, which matches the mains supply and the three-pin sockets used in UAE homes.

A pale pink dryer that stays on show
The Dyson Supersonic Nural Ceramic Pink is the colour for people who leave their dryer out on a vanity or a marble counter. Ceramic pink is a chalky, muted blush on the handle and head, and the Rose gold appears on the buttons and the filter ring at the base. Because the clear end cap lights up when Scalp protect is active, the glow is easy to see against the pale body. The Dyson Supersonic Nural Ceramic Pink is also a popular gift choice for a bride, a sister or a mother. The trade-off is upkeep: light colours show hairspray, oil and dust sooner than dark ones, so a quick wipe with a soft dry cloth after styling keeps it looking new.

Five attachments in the Straight+Wavy box
Dyson’s UK page lists five attachments for the Straight+Wavy Dyson Supersonic Nural Ceramic Pink: a smoothing nozzle, a flyaway smoother, a styling concentrator, a diffuser and a gentle air attachment. All of them clip on magnetically. Dyson publishes a default setting for each one: the gentle air attachment starts on high heat and high flow, the styling concentrator on high heat and medium flow, the smoothing nozzle and the diffuser on medium heat and medium flow, and the flyaway attachment on low heat and high flow. The smoothing nozzle suits a sleek natural finish on straight hair, while the diffuser gives loose waves more shape. There is no wide-tooth comb in this edition.

Scalp protect mode and heat control
Scalp protect is the feature that sets the HD16 apart. A time-of-flight sensor measures how far the nozzle is from your head, and Dyson says heat is reduced automatically to 55°C near the scalp, which it calls the best balance of scalp comfort and drying speed. Dyson Hong Kong notes that the mode works with three attachments only: the gentle air attachment, the styling concentrator and the smoothing nozzle. With Scalp protect switched off you choose from four heat settings and three airflow speeds, and a cold shot button sets the finished style. Dyson’s UK product page does not publish a temperature for each heat setting.

Attachment learning and Pause detect
Inside the Dyson Supersonic Nural Ceramic Pink a Hall sensor recognises which attachment is fitted and brings back the heat and airflow you last used with it. Dyson asks you to turn Scalp protect off for Attachment learning to work. Older Supersonic attachments fit the HD16, except the wide-tooth comb, but the dryer does not learn settings for them. Pause detect uses an accelerometer: when you set the dryer down, it cuts the heater and lowers the airflow. Dyson built in a 240 ms delay so short pauses while styling do not trigger it, and the feature stays on at all times unless the diffuser is attached.

UK version: power, plug and build
Dyson UK rates the Dyson Supersonic Nural Ceramic Pink at 220–240 V and 1,600 W, so it runs directly from UAE mains without a transformer, and the UK-market plug is the same three-pin type found in UAE homes. It is not a dual-voltage travel dryer, so do not use it in 110–120 V countries. Dyson lists airflow at 13.3 litres per second, a 2 m cable and a weight of 0.684 kg. On the Dyson Supersonic Nural Ceramic Pink, negative ions help reduce static. To keep airflow strong, Dyson advises cleaning the filter regularly: lift off the magnetic filter cage, wash it, let it dry fully and refit it.

Who This Is Not For
The Dyson Supersonic Nural Ceramic Pink is not the right box for tight curls or coily hair if you rely on the wide-tooth comb, because this Straight+Wavy edition does not include it and the comb is the one older attachment that does not fit the HD16. No presentation case comes with this colour; Dyson Hong Kong says only the exclusive Vinca blue and topaz edition includes one. It is a corded, single-voltage 220–240 V dryer, so it is not for travel to 110–120 V countries. If you want a finish that hides marks, a darker colour will need less wiping.
