Why the standard batteries matter
This is the regular Fly More Combo, not the Plus. 48MP sensor and video modes
The camera in the DJI Mini 4 Pro Fly More Combo uses a 1/1.3-inch CMOS with 48 effective megapixels, an 82.1 degree field of view (24 mm equivalent) and an f/1.7 aperture. Video reaches 4K at 24 to 60fps and 100fps, and Full HD up to 200fps; the 100 and 200fps modes record for slow-motion playback. HLG and D-Log M record in 10-bit 4:2:0 using H.265, and the top bitrate is 150 Mbps. Photos go up to 8064 x 6048 in JPEG or DNG RAW. Because the gimbal can roll to -90 degrees, the drone records true vertical footage for Reels and Shorts without cropping.
Omnidirectional obstacle sensing
DJI uses omnidirectional binocular vision plus a 3D infrared sensor under the aircraft. Forward measurement range is 0.5 to 18 m, backward and upward 0.5 to 15 m, and sideways 0.5 to 12 m. Sensing is effective at flight speeds up to 12 m/s horizontally and 5 m/s vertically, and it needs textured surfaces with more than 15 lux of light. So the DJI Mini 4 Pro Fly More Combo protects you well when following a subject through a park, but night flights, glass and plain walls reduce its ability to see what is ahead.
O4 transmission and the DJI RC 2
With O4 transmission DJI quotes up to 20 km under FCC rules and 10 km under CE, measured in open, interference-free conditions with no return flight. DJI’s own estimate in a city is about 1.5 to 4 km. Live view runs up to 1080p/60fps, and latency is about 120 ms. The DJI RC 2 in the DJI Mini 4 Pro Fly More Combo has its own 5.5-inch 1080p screen at 700 nits, so you do not need to clip a phone to it and your phone stays free for calls and messages during the flight.
Weight, wind and UAE conditions
Folded without propellers the drone measures 148 x 94 x 64 mm. DJI rates wind resistance at 10.7 m/s and top speed at 16 m/s in Sport mode. Internal storage on the DJI Mini 4 Pro Fly More Combo is only 2 GB, so a V30 microSD card is needed for real shooting. The operating range is -10 to 40 degrees C, which midday summer heat in the UAE can exceed, so plan early-morning or evening flights. Drone flying in the UAE is regulated by the GCAA and by each emirate, so check the current registration and no-fly requirements before your first flight, whatever the weight.
Who This Is Not For
The DJI Mini 4 Pro Fly More Combo is not for pilots who want the longest possible flights: the standard batteries give up to 34 minutes in DJI’s test, while the Plus kit reaches 45 minutes but takes the drone over 249 g. It is not a replacement for the Air or Mavic series if you need a larger sensor or longer zoom. There is no wall charger in the box, internal storage is only 2 GB so you must add a microSD card, and the 40 degrees C operating limit rules out midday summer flights in the UAE.
