The Logitech G Pro X SE is a wired over-ear gaming headset in black, built around 50 mm hybrid-mesh PRO-G drivers and an external USB sound card (DAC) that opens up DTS Headphone:X 2.0 surround and BLUE VO!CE microphone filters on a Windows PC. Logitech lists it for PC, Xbox, PS5 and Nintendo Switch / Switch 2, and it keeps the PRO X frame: aluminium forks, a steel headband and memory-foam earcups. No battery, no receiver, no charging routine.

What the Logitech G Pro X SE Is
The Logitech G Pro X SE belongs to Logitech G’s PRO family, the range the brand develops with competitive players in mind. This edition is wired only. You plug it in and it works, which is why plenty of tournament players still choose a cable over a battery that can run flat mid-match.
Logitech’s specification sheet lists two cables and a splitter: a 2 m PC cable, a 1.5 m mobile cable and a short 120 mm Y-splitter for devices with separate headphone and microphone jacks. On a PC you run the headset through the USB DAC to reach the software features. On a controller, console or phone you use the analogue mobile cable.
50mm PRO-G Drivers and DTS Headphone:X 2.0
Each earcup holds a 50 mm PRO-G driver with a hybrid-mesh diaphragm and a neodymium magnet. Logitech rates the Logitech G Pro X SE at 20 Hz to 20 kHz, 32 ohms, and 91.7 dB sensitivity measured at 1 mW and 1 cm. At 32 ohms a controller, phone or laptop drives it comfortably without a separate amplifier.
DTS Headphone:X 2.0 is object-based surround processing: it places sounds around you rather than simply spreading stereo into more channels. On this headset it runs through the USB DAC with Logitech G HUB on a Windows PC. In G HUB you can also load EQ profiles tuned by pro players or design your own, and save a 5-band EQ profile to the onboard memory so it follows the headset to another PC.
Detachable Microphone and BLUE VO!CE
The boom microphone on the Logitech G Pro X SE detaches, so the headset can double as a plain pair of closed headphones. The capsule is a 6 mm electret condenser with a cardioid (unidirectional) pickup and a 100 Hz to 10 kHz frequency response. Cardioid means it hears mainly what is in front of it, your mouth, and much less of the keyboard beside you.
BLUE VO!CE adds real-time voice filters in G HUB, which Logitech says give cleaner, richer, more consistent comms. Because it lives in G HUB and the USB DAC, BLUE VO!CE is a PC feature. On a console or phone through the analogue cable, teammates hear the raw microphone.
Build, Comfort and Size
Aluminium forks and a steel-frame headband carry the earcups, and the cups themselves are memory foam covered in leatherette. Logitech’s spec sheet lists the earpads as removable, which matters over a few years of use when pads flatten or peel.
The Logitech G Pro X SE weighs 320 g with the mic boom attached and measures 195 × 138 × 94 mm without the boom. That is a solid, metal-framed headset rather than an ultralight one. Leatherette seals well around the ear and helps passive isolation, but it also holds more heat than fabric, which you will notice in a long evening session.
PC, PS5, Xbox and Switch
Logitech lists the Logitech G Pro X SE for PC, Xbox, PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch / Switch 2. On the consoles you connect to the controller or console headphone jack with the analogue cable; stereo sound and the microphone work, while the DTS and BLUE VO!CE processing stay on the PC side.
For the full feature set, plug the USB DAC into a USB 2.0 port on a Windows 10 or later PC and install Logitech G HUB. An internet connection is only needed for the optional software download.
Who This Is Not For
If you want to move around the room or play from the sofa without a cable, this is the wrong headset: there is no wireless or Bluetooth mode. Console players who want surround sound should also note that DTS Headphone:X 2.0 depends on the USB DAC and G HUB on a PC.
There is no active noise cancelling, only the passive seal of the earcups. Logitech lists Windows 10 or later for the software, not macOS, so Mac users should expect a plain stereo headset. And at 320 g with leatherette pads, people who run warm may prefer a lighter headset with fabric pads.
